Introduction: I am passionate about music education. There is nothing else in the world I would rather be doing. Students and parents value my positive teaching style and commitment to motivating my students. Students who take lessons from me not only learn how to play correctly they also learn to love music. The best thing about my job is watching my students grow as people and musicians. I also love it when a student take on personal ownership of their musical journey, bringing interesting music and ideas to lessons. Creativity is strongly encouraged and it's incredibly rewarding to see this quality emerge in students.

Carly is a first-rate music teacher! She started as my daughter's clarinet teacher. Carly initially helped her get through a summer class and concert, and has since done an incredible job teaching her, not just about music, but also about how to approach playing and technique. She is always supportive, never critical in a negative way. My daughter's improvement after two years has been wonderful to see and hear. Now, not only does Carly teach my daughter, she is also my piano teacher! I've restarted playing after a 30-year lapse. I love the way Carly will take a different approach on learning a piece. If something's not working, she offers great ideas on how to practice. I also love that she is having me try new things, such as transposing while playing. Always challenging, never overwhelming. An all-around excellent teacher!

My Daughter takes both violin and clarinet lessons at Harmony Grows with Carly and we couldn't be more happy. Carly is patient and works well with kids. My daughter loves going to her lessons. But what I really like is that Carly challenges her while still making music fun.
