About this pro
Mathews' Electric provides everything one could hope for when looking for an electrician. Harry is honest, forthright, and very knowledgeable. He suggested a better way to install our outlets that was the least disruptive to our existing walls. He's also a licensed, which was very important to us. Please don't hesitate to hire Harry. He's our trusted "electrician guy" for life.Aug 7, 2018Verified
I chose Mathews' Electric because their quick response time, free onsite estimate, and VERY reasonable quote. Harry is very personable and easy to work with. He installed 3 - 5-20A outlets in my garage so that I can get my screen printing shop up and running. I will be hiring him in the near future for ceiling fan install and light switch relocation.Jun 19, 2017Verified
I had Harry install two exhaust fans in my bathrooms (1 in each) that did not have any. So the holes were required to be cut, as well as wiring in the units. Overall, so-so of a job. On the plus side, the fans work as they should - so that is good. On the negative side, the cutting of the ceiling for one fan left a large broken chunk of my ceiling's drywall. Harry told me that he does not do drywall, and didn't try to help fix it or anything on that front. So I am now needing to come back to Thumbtack for repairing the ceiling itself, which will wind up costing me way more money in the end. And one small thing that I was not impressed with: he showed up an hour or two late both mornings that we had previously scheduled (and confirmed the day before) to arrive.Jun 18, 2018VerifiedHarry M.'s reply
sorry Mike that you did not like the work. I did tell you of your fan location inside of a large metal frame for previous light or something, embedded in the plaster ceiling. Just a reminder, you said you would patch any deviations from the holes that I struggled to put in that spot. oom another note, had you given me patch cote and asked me if I could do that one instead, I would have (customer satisfaction). Thank you for the job, anyway Mike
Harry did an excellent job installing a fan for me. He was prompt, very polite, a good communicator, charged a extremely fair price. He was also very receptive to change a few outlets for me. I would not hesitate to hire him again for any electrical job. He does quality work!Apr 17, 2018Verified
Harry was spot on for fixing my electrical issues in my backyard. He explained the problem that I was having and went straight to work. I will definitely hire him for future jobs!Apr 13, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My system of cost pricing is simple. To give the customer what they want or need at the most cost effective calculation (this means least expensive ).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I would introduce myself to the customer, and ask to see the projected job to be done. If there is any questions or problems after looking over the project, we will discuss solutions and options to be able to proceed and complete the task (s). I am always open to added tasks providing we agree on the terms.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I do have many years (40) in the Electrical business, with experience in the IBEW and in the field, doing residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work. They would also include service work and troubleshooting.
