From the minute I met Sandra I knew she was the one that could help me. I felt so comfortable with her. She is highly knowledgeable and so compassionate as to my concerns and needs. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is thinking about going through bankruptcy. She has lifted a burden off my shoulders that I thought could never be lifted. She's the best.Aug 20, 2015Verified

- How did you get started doing this type of work?I'm an actress and I owned a theatre for 8 years. Everyone came to me with questions. How do I start a theatre? What should I do to get a better agent? Who is your CPA? The questions were endless and I found I love to help. I found I like helping people in distress. Bankruptcy, in general, allows me to assist good people in distress and basically help them get their life back. Bankruptcy is an opportunity to obtain a fresh start. That fresh start is included in our US Constitution and it's nothing to be ashamed of!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Research. Meet with at least three attorneys before signing a client engagement agreement. SIGN A CLIENT ENGAGEMENT AGREEMENT so that you know exactly what is expected of you and your attorney. Prepare your questions in advance and go with your gut. If you don't like an attorney but they seem super qualified why work with them? On the other hand if you like an attorney, just make sure you check with the California State Bar to be sure he/she is licensed and in good standing with no disciplinary actions on their record.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?I wish clients knew that they should not be afraid to ask questions. If you don't understand something, don't be afraid to keep asking a question until you get an answer that makes sense to you.
