Introduction: I tune and repair all pianos, except birdcage pianos and square grands. I will tune a player piano but do not repair player mechanisms. I am a member of the Piano Technicians Guild and a certified Yamaha Disklavier technician. I have also been trained at the Steinway factory in New York. I have been in business since 1968, and am one of the few aural tuners still practicing in the greater Sacramento area. I do free phone consultations about your repair, buying or selling issues and will do formal appraisals when needed ($80-$125). A regular tuning (upright or grand) is $150. This includes vacuuming out the inside of the piano if it is dusty. However, if it's been a while since the piano has been tuned, it may need a double tuning (commonly called a pitch raise). This is done in one appointment but there is an extra charge of $100.00. During the first appointment, I will look over your piano to determine if there are other issues besides tuning that will help improve your piano's performance and sound. Minor repairs may be made at zero or little cost. Many questions are answered in the FAQ area of my website. I service Sacramento County, El Dorado County and parts of Placer and Yolo counties. But as of February 15, 2020, I no longer service Davis. I accept checks or cash, no credit cards. Thank you for understanding. Appointments are made Monday-Friday, starting at 9:30 AM and the last appointment of the day between 3-4 PM. Exceptions can be made for unusual circumstances.
