FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After selling my last company in January of 2008 (www.govavi.com) I decided to take some time off and went to the beach for a year. I started helping many of my friends start companies for fun during this year and realized I had a passion for helping other entrepreneurs that I believed where going to be successful.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We have 2 areas of our business that are most common. We work with high growth startup companies through our consulting services to help them build business plans, financial plans and capital raising strategies. These clients are commonly in technology or emerging industries. We also work with a ton of small business startups as well. restaurants, web companies, retail stores, professional service companies and personal service companies to name a few. We then help these clients by advising them which capital sources (banks, friends & family, etc) are available to them and how to acquire the money.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Every business plan is not the same and every entrepreneur needs a unique business plan. The level of sophistication that a plan needs depends largely on the audience of the plan and level of sophistication of the readers. A business plan for yourself is less sophisticated than a bank and that is less detailed than one for Venture Capitalists.
