Noah did some exterior carpentry work on our house: replacing termite-eaten fascia and eaves, replacing a lot of rotten window and door trims, replacing deck rails, fixing gates, etc. He did excellent work, was punctual and very communicative. I felt secure knowing that he would do the job well. It's very likely that we'll hire him again for future work.

Richard sealed Windows and trim that are 25 feet high! He also reattached siding and cleaned gutters. We are now sealed tight for the rains. Richard and his helper were on time, very courteous and did a fantastic job. A new fence is next and Richard will be the one I will ask to do the job. I am a picky person and I highly recommend him.

Reliable! The projects he knocked out for me are as follows, green house, window installation, knocked down a wall to open up living space and plenty of electrical from big to small. Prices were more than fair and he always looked to save me a buck it two with out compromising the integrity of the job. Thumbs up!

We bought a manufactured house which is 16 years old and in need of lots of TLC. And that is just what Tim provided. He did everything including plumbing, appliance installation, electrical, new door hardware, a french door to replace a window, a fence you would have to see to believe (it is a complete work of art-we get positive comments on it all the time). I can think of very few things he can't do. His problem solving skills are extensive and intelligent. His aesthetic is refined. He has a work ethic like none I have seen, and his integrity is unfailing. We enjoyed having him here and look forward to his return to work on Phase II and Phase III. Thank you Tim!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much is it to get your windows tinted?

Window tinting is an easy aftermarket addition that can help reduce your electric bills, decrease glare in the home, increase privacy, protect your furniture and artwork against fading, and better control temperatures throughout your house. The national average cost for residential window tinting is $550. Many window tinting companies charge per square foot, for example, $6-$8 per square foot for materials and installation. Often, companies can offer lower rates for a larger installation project. Window size also affects cost; smaller windowpanes are harder to work with than large, rectangular windows and will likely mean a higher price per square foot. Your utility company may offer you rebates for installing window tinting. Here are two examples of average project installation cost:

    • 110-square-foot window tinting project: $750 for 11 windows tinted.
      • $6.80 per square foot. Customer received $150 from electrical company.
      • Semi-gloss tint.
    • 200-square-foot window tinting project: $1,000 for 10 large-pane windows tinted.
      • $5 per square foot.
      • Reflective silver tint for maximum privacy.
