Jamie did an amazing job! I gave him a sketch of a t-shirt graphic idea and after a couple days, he answered back promptly with a high quality, beautiful design. Very responsive, did a great job adding modifications and touch ups to the design, and overall was very pleasant to work with. I would work with Jamie again and recommend him to friends.

Bobby Fingeroth is a TOP notch designer!!! He helped with all facets of my start-up coffee shop including logos, letter head, tee shirts, aviatar, business cards, business signs, paraphernalia and so much more. I continue to use him to this day and would HIGHLY recommend him. The only problem (it's a good problem to have) is that he has so many great ideas, it's hard to choose one!

Veronica has been a key element of our business for over 10 years. When I first started working with her, she put together a professional and creative website for my interior design business, marcyvoyevod.com. She also designed new business cards using photos of my projects. Then in 2006, she helped us with our new design/build business, bluelotusproject.com . We needed business cards, envelopes, letterhead, website, and t-shirts. Veronica was able to design the new website with It’s own personality but it also related really well with my original website. She can take the client's ideas and make them work in the medium that is needed for each project. She has great subcontractors and a vast knowledge of the print and web business. All of the work she has done for us has been highly praised by our clients. An added plus is that she is a fabulous person and artist.

My wife and I have been using Geoffrey Purkis as a computer consultant and “go-to guy” for the past several years. We are delighted to give him a very high recommendation, without reservations. Geoffrey has been very responsive and has fixed our computer issues economically and very quickly, which hasn’t always been easy because we have a cranky internet connection. He is polite and patient, and has “lived with” our problems until they have been resolved. And he has offered helpful advice, particularly regarding computer security, which doubtless will protect us from future problems like identity theft.

As Over - all Chair- person and coordinator of our school's homecoming ( College of the Holy Spirit, Manila ) , I engaged the services of Grace Gallego Rebullida, to conceptualize a design for our "Live Love and Laugh" theme, do a powerpoint presentation, and to execute this design or logo in our invitation, posters, fliers and souvenir program. I enjoyed working with Grace through emails. She met my demands and met deadlines. We worked for several months and there came a time when she got sick, but her commitment was there, and she gave me the assurance that she will get it done on time, and she did! Grace did an amazing cover design for our souvenir program, did a great job in patiently laying out each and every feature page, including editing the Before and After class pictures. With the logo in every feature page, the souvenir program had a pulled together look! She has very good communication skills and a good perception of what I wanted. And that expedited the work and gave me peace of mind.

Sharon took so many good photos of me it was hard to choose which to use as my main one. Other photographers have only had one shot that I liked. She's great, patient, and looks for all kinds of different places to photograph you if you do it outdoors. She also did a great job photoshopping out the wrinkles in my shirt and the little plastic nose protectors in my glasses.

My cyber-challenge was trying to come up with a website that would satisfy my students and the dean of the department. I’ve been teaching English now for 27 years at the College of San Mateo which puts me just in front of the virtual generation. So when my last evaluation suggested that I take advantage of the college’s website to update my courses with some interactive web-exercises, I signed up for a seminar on the hill to get some idea about how to do that. Well, half way through the day I could tell that the school’s idea of “interacting” was not mine. I wanted something that was not merely the nuts and bolts kind of site they were proposing; I wanted, as they say, all the “bells and whistles”. So I found Paul Giomi’s name listed at the adult school where he was teaching computer courses and confronted him with my challenge. We talked energetically for about a half-hour as I tried to describe what I was looking for; I wanted something that suited my personality, that would have students see me not just as a member of an institution, but as someone with a personality of my own. That was all the time it took. Within minutes Paul was sketching ideas out on paper, providing me with three or four proposals that might work. Naturally, the last suggestion was the one I went with. Just as he was beginning to give me another option, I stopped him and yelled “Eureka!” Here’s what he proposed: A professor’s den of my own—with a working fireplace and a library of options backed by some mystery music which plays as the students enter. Perfect! I could go on telling you about how happy I was with the outcome, but what I should do is get my students to write because I don’t just hear about my site from my students; I also hear from some students who have visited it that are not even in my class who heard abuot my cool website. Clearly, I am more than satisfied and recommend Paul as an imaginative, creative, and resourceful web-designer who will not only excite you about your project but will charm you as well.

Her original artwork is creative and has captured the spirit of our organization perfectly—whether it's a design for a volunteer t-shirt or a brand image for a fundraising gala.

    A. Jameel Design and Illustration took my ideas, and breathed life into them. Characters that existed only as walls of text before now have a distinctive appearance that helped me shape the world around them. This doesn’t just apply to Avalon, either: as a result of him going the extra mile, GreyKüb can now attribute both our name and logo to AJDI as well!

I have personally worked with Joseph on multiple projects for our product line. I consider myself extremely creative and am very picky on who I choose to impliment my ideas. What i love about working with Joe, is that he gets me. He listens and takes my concept and mix it with his talent and creates the most amazing final product! I call him my secret creative weapon! I love that when we are working on a new product label , we only need to do one draft before i approve it. I have used him for product label design, product line design, marketing materials, catalogs, logo designs and now shirt designs and silk screening. We are extremely happy to have him on our team.

I asked Thom to take on two significant projects for our long-standing family business – create, shoot, edit, and deliver a powerful marketing video and update our existing website to be more mobile friendly (while adding his creativity and personal touch). Thom’s diverse background was essential when it came to completing this project – concept, design, coding, shooting, editing, and overall creativity. We have received several compliments on our website and marketing video and couldn’t be happier with the design and professionalism by Thom. Most importantly, Thom is easy to work with and a genuine person.

        Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What makes a good logo design?

A good logo is an easily identifiable, memorable image that represents your brand. A good logo design aligns with your business model and expresses your company’s core values. A good logo design is simple, appealing, and easy for customers and viewers to quickly process. Some of the key components of a great logo are type, color palette and design. The scale, font and arrangement of the text you select will all make a difference in the feel and representation of your brand. A graphic designer will help you home in on the colors that best represent your identity and help you keep the color palette simple. The design of your logo includes the shapes you select and the way the color and type are arranged together. Investing in the services of a professional to create your logo design is likely a smart investment for any size business. Nationally, the average price range for a logo designer ranges from $170 to $250.

How much does it cost to create a logo?

Logo design is an important part of your company’s brand development. More than an image with text and color, a logo communicates the tone and personality of your company to your potential customers. Hiring a graphic designer with an appealing portfolio and quality reviews is a solid start to creating a winning logo design. The cost to create a logo can depend on how in-depth the marketing and design services you request are. Designers can create one logo in multiple formats (horizontal, vertical, etc.) to fit both your website and social media platforms, they can create a variety of designs for clients to select from, or they can create multiple logos for one client who needs branding for more than one venture. Logos may be text-only, text and image, or image-only. Many designers and design firms charge by the hour for their services, while other companies offer packages bundled with design services. Here are some examples of cost:

        • National average cost to hire a logo designer: $170-$250.
        • Average hourly rate for a freelance marketing consultant: about $150.
        • Tiered pricing for logo design packages from one firm:
          • Package One: $200 for three logo concepts, three rounds of revision, and a variety of format and color end designs.
          • Package Two: $350 for 10 logo concepts, unlimited rounds of revision, and a variety of format and color end designs.
          • Package Three: $550 for everything included in the Package Two, plus business card design, letterhead design, social media graphics and an email signature.
          • Package Four: $850 for everything in the Package Three, plus custom brand guidelines, which outline a strategy for creating a consistent branding in the client’s business.
