I first met Paul about two months ago while I was looking for guitar lessons. Since then I have been improving a lot in both my theory as well as my playing- thanks to Paul's efforts. I am pleased with the service he provides and the experience that he generously uses to help.
Easy to find location, Professional recording environment, Great vibes and high quality equipment. I recommend this facility to all artists from beginner to Pro, and any genre of music!! Looking forward to booking my next session!!
Great guitar instructor, highly recommended.
We decided to chose Brian for my teenage daughter's beginning guitar lessons due to his willingness to teach her the type of songs that she wanted. Right away he connected with her and her music. He taught her the theory behind playing guitar as well as teaching her the tricks and skills of how to play the guitar. His practices were enjoyable and not just rote. She learned very quickly and therefore stayed excited about learning. Brian was always very complementary and encouraging. Brian also helped us buy useful equipment like a tuner, etc. She always felt safe and comfortable. We would highly recommend Brian as a guitar teacher.
Omar was great at helping me understand music theory. Being a beginner, he showed me how to break down strumming patterns and chords so that it would be easier for me to practice and progress.
We found Sid on Thumbtack and he has been giving guitar lessons to myself and my two kids for last 18 months. He is super great with the kids and an awesome teacher. Would highly recommend.
John is great person. Currently my daughter's are learning guitar and piano with the help of John. I am 43 years old and I am taking guitar lessons through John. Very polite and extraordinary knowledge about music. Cheers John!!!
Beginner electric bass guitar lessons, 1 hour per week, at Rancho Canyon Music. I have been taking lessons with Lou for two months. Lou is an experienced, knowledgeable, and patient instructor. Additionally, he is personable and has a good sense of humor which makes the lessons fun. Lou finds ways to easily relate a theory or technique to you in everyday terms. He is a formally trained musician who performs regularly for audiences. His training and regular performing, coupled with his teaching techniques makes him my first choice for music instruction. Lou arrives on time and is ready begin working with you, evidence he values your time as well. Lou goes above and beyond for his students by providing in class resources, useful online content, and instructional online videos. All of which I have found helpful and not readily found in other music instructors. Lou can quickly analyze what is happening and provide you with helpful input to help you understand and improve. It is clear to me Lou understands the teaching process. He explains things in a logical order, using building blocks of learning. I would highly recommend Lou to all of my family and friends. An hour lesson is filled with easily digestible information and practical application. My understanding and enjoyment of playing my bass guitar has been energized working with Lou.
Chris should change his last name from Rockaway to RockSTAR. I’ve taken plenty of guitar lessons from others over the years, but no one had the seemingly psychic ability to assess my playing and prescribe a set of customized exercises the way Chris does. It’s like he knows exactly what you need to stop feeling like a poser and actually get good at guitar. Chris pays full attention to you throughout the lessons, and you won’t feel like he’d rather be somewhere else (wouldn’t we all rather be headlining Coachella??!) Book with Chris now before he realizes he’s not charging half as much as he should be. You will not regret it.
Hello, My name is Abigail. Im 11 years old and have been taking guitar lessons from Damien for about 2 years now. He has taught me how to read music. I have learned step by step, no rushing into music whatsoever. In the beginning of my lessons, Damien gave me a booklet/guitar notebook to record every lesson. My first lessons were basically getting to know music and my guitar. The next couple of lessons he began teaching me how to play simple songs like Twinkle-Twinkle, Happy Birthday and Mary Had a Little Lamb. Further on, Damien allowed me to choose a couple of my favorite songs, which he then taught me how to play. I definitely recommend any beginners to attend his lessons because you will not regret it.
I have been taking guitar lessons from Kimberly via Skype for about six years. I really like her teaching style which is systematic and focused. She tailors her lessons to my goals and time. Her teaching method is to help you gain insight and skill through patient practice of gradually changing exercises. She doesn't snow you with theory, but presents it to you in digestible amounts just when it will make sense. She welcomes questions and I always learn from our discussions. She has led me to learn techniques on the guitar that I was absolutely sure I could never learn. For something to seem impossible at the start, to seem possible a week later and to be routine a month later is amazingly uplifting. Kimberly's background was first a life of teaching herself and playing gigs with all kinds of bands in all kinds of places. She has also deepened and strengthened her knowledge by gaining academic degrees in guitar and jazz and also by studying under masters. This gives her an incredibly deep understanding of learning and teaching music, an immense skill in playing guitar, and an appreciation for the challenges of playing with other people. I especially love her continued enthusiasm for guitar and that she really enjoys teaching. I have found in Kimberly the best of teachers and highly recommend her without reservation.
Jimmy is a great teacher and I am learning a ton from him. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in guitar lessons and he is great with beginners like me!
I take my daughter and son for Piano and guitar lessons to Mrs. Annette and she is a wonderful instructor who is always so kind and patient with each child. We adore her and would recommend her to everyone!!!
Saro is a highly experienced teacher. He comes from the prestigious USC Thornton school of music and knows what's he doing! my son first started learning the guitar with another teacher. Later I hired Saro to work with him. The outcome of his teaching was fantastic as my son's playing improved dramatically. His hand positions, tone quality and musicianship highly improved. I definitely recommend taking lessons from Saro.
Brian is a really great teacher. I'm a self-taught folk guitar player with a million bad habits and a degree in music and I feel extremely fortunate to have found him. I always wanted to take guitar lessons but had trouble finding a teacher that made me feel comfortable. Brian is super patient, flexible, affordable and gifted-- I'm proud of the improvements I've made so far and I highly recommend him!
Lucas is a very talented musician and teacher. He has taught guitar to both of my kids for the past 5 years. He's patient, fun and willing to tailor lessons to the individual's needs and personal goals. My 13 year old son (who has taken lessons with Lucas since 2nd grade) has learned to read notes, play chords and how to improvise on the guitar through his lessons with Lucas. He plays in our church band and does very well.
Chris started working with my daughter about two weeks ago. My daughter had never played guitar before and was struggling with the basics in her beginning guitar class at school (she has Asperger Syndrome and struggles with sensory issues and basic coordination). From our first communications, I could tell he was going to be a good fit. He asked a million questions and spent a lot of time communicating with me before he even showed up to my front door. Once he got to the first lesson, he was totally prepared. The hour was money well spent and I immediately booked him on a weekly basis. He is probably one of the most positive, supportive, compassionate people that I have ever met and, he has the patience of a saint! He spent an extra half hour, at no charge, teaching my daughter how to restring her guitar after their lesson was over (he even offered to pick the stings up for me the week before - now that’s customer service!). This man really loves what he does and it shows. He is a talented teacher/musician and if you are lucky enough to pick up an hour lesson with him, you will not be disappointed! He. Is. Awesome.
Lewis is a fantastic teacher! I can only speak to how he teaches a complete beginner but he makes guitar very approachable and his style makes it feel like progress comes quickly. His teaching tools and pieces are fun and don’t feel like going through a beginner handbook of basic cords and songs. He is great at tailoring his teaching style to your personal interests and musical goals.
Jason is an exceptional teacher and player. His knowledge of music is absolutely profound. I've been playing guitar for over 20 years, and my skill level improved more during the 2 years I took lessons from Jason, than in the past 10 years combined. In short, I got a lot better a lot more quickly. If anyone wants to truly learn how to play guitar, you will not find a better instructor.
Dominic is a great motivator as a teacher in classical and jazz styles for guitar. He has an incredible mind that allowes you to expand what you could do with the guitar. Not only he is a great musician to work with, but a great guy/friend to get to know. It was a very innovating experience working with him!
Ivan is great... I've just had two lessons and am definitely continuing on!. I've never picked up a guitar, ever and am a complete novice adult. He's extremely patient, and has a thorough and complete knowledge of every aspect of the guitar. He guides you through (albeit clumsy attempts on my part) every aspect of playing, and spends time with you revisiting each chord until it rings out clear. I would highly recommend him on all levels!
