Amazing!! Jeriah is very professional and REALLY cares about the child's education. He is confident in his work and it shows. He is able to change his way of communication so his student is able to comprehend the lesson. Hands down the best tutor we've ever had!! We are extremely thankful for Jeriah and his incredible work ethic and morals.Aug 5, 2017Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My first step is almost always a phone call or text with my potential students’ parents. If they show interest and I believe I can help the student, I try to schedule a free trial lesson. If all goes well, we can schedule recurring lessons (usually weekly) and proceed from there. Each lesson is around 55 minutes, with the remaining 5 minutes dedicated to speaking to the parent about any concerns or encouragements.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Juris Doctorate that certainly helps me explain English and Critical Thinking to my students, but I have also gone through a character education internship that lasted a full school year. Additionally, I’ve worked as a site coordinator at after-school programs as well as an ESL teacher for Chinese students in China. Perhaps, most importantly, I worked as a tutor for more than 8 years, garnering invaluable experience and resources.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I started working in education as an intern in the Oklahoma City public school system. I found a tremendous love for students and continued as a tutor throughout my law school career.
