First allow me to apologize for my late review as I haven't had my internet back up til now. And let me say that of all the things I could be doing having spent 4 weeks without the internet, the FIRST THING I DID was pull up my email so I can find a way to brag about how AWESOME DERRY AND ALIJIAH WERE as my movers! They were professional, fun, and they were patient and great with my kids whom just wanted to help (but possibly hendered the men at times!) But still they allowed them to join in the responsibilities here and there (like allowing them to help with their own toys! Lol), all while keeping them COMPLETELY SAFE at all times! They were such great guys! I wasn't even sure in the beginning if I was going to be able to tip them, and I was honest about that up front, and NOT ONCE was that a factor in their performance. In fact I believe Alijiah had said something like, "I'm here for you and your needs, and to make this job as easy on you, and as less stressful as possible. You don't even worry about a tip!" Of course that just wanted me to tip even more cuz he was so professional about it. And I was happy that end the end I could help the guys, cuz they did wonders for me. They made a difficult time easier to deal with. And since I suffer from debilitating rheumatoid arthritis, I was so relieved to get through that day in as little as pain as possible! I hope I never have to deal with moving again, but if I do I will ask for, and always recommend, Derry and Alijiah! Thanks, you guys! And Brandon Wilkinson, thank you too! Jamie in Yuba City
=== SUMMARY === I am a software engineer in Silicon Valley living in a one-bedroom apartment. The idea of moving all my packed boxes and large pieces of furniture, like my sofa, entertainment center, and bookcases, was extremely daunting. Do I hire friends to help me move? Do I hire expensive professional movers? Do I do it myself and get one of those PODS? "Ain't nobody got time fo' dat!" Steve and Joe from Albion Moving and Storage were able to move all my items into their truck and to their final destinations safely and quickly. Their truck was extremely large, so even the largest pieces had room to be properly lifted in and carried out. What made me pick Albion Moving and Storage over other competitors at first was their cheaper hourly rate and their 2-hour minimum. Whereas most other moving companies require a 3-hour minimum, these guys only required 2 hours. In my head, I felt the job would only take 2-or-so hours, so this made the most sense. Steve and Joe worked extremely quickly and efficiently, and the job legitimately took 3 hours. And that is great. It would have taken my friends and I all day (possibly two) to do everything these guys did in 3 hours. Steve and Joe are extremely nice and awesome. They made sure they knew where each item was going (new apartment or storage) and got everything to its final destination quickly and with great care. I am for sure going to be calling these guys again next time I need to move. This was my first moving experience living on my own, so I was extremely nervous. These guys put me at ease and have gained my trust. Thanks Steve and Joe! === DETAILS === They disassembled my dining table quickly and efficiently to have it all fit in my storage unit I was moving things to. They also let me purchase a sofa cover for $5 (very cheap compared to what the storage facility I was using charges for them). I actually had two places I needed my stuff moved to: A storage unit and my new apartment. This was no problem for them. They put everything into their large truck, went to the storage unit, put in everything that went there, and then drove to my new apartment, where they moved in all the remaining items. I was afraid this "moving items to two places" thing was going to be a problem, but it was not at all. They disassembled and reassembled my bed for me, which was very nice. They brought their own doorstops, and had all the equipment they needed to move even my heaviest piece of furniture (my entertainment center). They also have their own insurance, which is a very important detail when hiring movers. The whole process with them took 3 hours. I already had all of my stuff in boxes and all the furniture empty and ready to be moved. All they had to do was move things from my apartment to the truck, and then from the truck to the new locations. They were very efficient at putting the furniture into my storage unit. Had I been charged with storing the items inside, I would have done it in such a way where it wouldn't have fit. These guys assured me they could fit everything, and were able to make everything fit perfectly on their first attempt. (No rearranging was needed, they had already planned out what would go where as soon as they saw the storage unit and the space they had to work with.) Definitely will hire again!
I ended up needing movers at the last minute and DMC Hauling was able to accommodate me. They arrived on time, were friendly and got my move done. The price was good. Would recommend to friends/family.
It was a great experience. Everyone was friendly and polite. The company arrive on time and we finish in 1 hour and half. It was expected to be a 3 hr move. I’m thankful it was done fast and with great care. Thanks to the team and the movers for a great experience :)

This was my first time trying to hire a professional via Thumbtack platform and it was a very good experience. After submiting the request, I received 3 quotes from different movers, and Pavel was one of them. He stood out among the three because of his responsiveness and reasonable price. Before hiring him, I was a bit concerned given that he had only one review before. But Im glad that I decided to hire him. Pavel was very careful with my stuffs, especially my computer (they also provided a small blanket to cover my table top) He was flexible as well when I asked him if he could stop by Ikea and Living Spaces store for me to pick up some furniture. Overall, I give Pavel and his crew 5 stars for their professionalism. I'll definitely contact him again for future move
Overall they movers did a very good job. They were fast and efficient, plus they were nice people, very patient with your special requests (such as which furniture goes to which room, which items to be careful when moving, etc.) They did make a small innocent mistake by leaving behind a small box of items, but when I contacted them about it, they immediately gave me a call and apologized nicely and told me they would checked the truck first thing the next morning, and if not found, they would reimburse me for those lost items. As they promised, they found the items the next morning and brought them to my place before noon. I think they handled the situation really well and I was pretty happy about it.
Keavan is professional, on time, and reliable. We had him demo a complete bathroom and kitchen. He has great prices and communication. I would use his services again.

I hired MP Movers (Marquiz) to assemble a 6 drawer IKEA dresser. He arrived right on time and was very polite. The dresser came in 3 different boxes which had to be moved downstairs to my daughter's room, which he did for me. He was so conscientious that at one point the instructions didn't match the materials and he brought this to my attention. He quoted me a flat fee and stuck to that. All in all, I couldn't have been happier and I will definitely hire MP Movers again. I highly recommend Marquiz and MP Movers.

The movers went to the wrong address and were 2 hours late to start. Afterwards I called James B. Moving about two items which I knew for a fact were not in any of my rooms at my new place, I was told that those items were placed in a section to go to the dump by accident and they would be returned to me. Now we have more missing boxes and I cannot get a return phone call and on the way to my new place I saw the movers pull off to the side of the freeway. Since there are no return calls I don’t know what to think except “ Be Extremely Careful who you hire” the references were vague at best.
Rob was very professional with first contact. He put everything together for me and sent Chase and Justin to remove the furniture. Both of them were very quick with the job. Happy I picked this company and would recommend them.
I hired Pat for a move from Fontana, CA to Berkeley, CA. He was incredibly kind and professional from the very beginning. His rate was significantly lower than anyone else. About a week before my move Pat was even able to lower my rate more because he found another customer moving to the same area so he could combine the moves making it cheaper for me. Not only did Pat exceed my expectations financially but he really went above and beyond his duties! I couldn't be present for the move because I had to go out of state for job training so I had to trust him completely to pick up my belongings from Fontana and deliver it all to Berkeley without my supervision. I didn't have the apartment keys to where I was moving in Berkeley so Pat even picked up the keys for me from the rental company and made sure they were delivered to me. I arrived in Berkeley from training an entire month after the move actually took place. I entered my apartment to find my bed already set up by Pat and my boxes organized. Nothing was broken ether which is something that always seems to happen when I hire movers. I have never even met Pat in person because I had to leave for training. I was only able to correspond with him through email and phone calls. For this reason I can say he is extremely trustworthy and I trusted him with all of my belongings. If you need to move then definitely hire Pat. I have moved a lot and I have never had a better moving experience.
Quick professional service no complications
After cleaning my garage I found myself with a large amount of junk that I didn’t want to wait for a bulk pickup from Waste Management so I sought out help on Thumbtack. That’s where I found Chris who was able to come and remove everything and take it to the dump for me the same day (actually was at my home in less than an hour). Chris was punctual, fast, professional and reasonably priced. He actually followed up with the dump receipt to assure me of this. Great service, would definitely use again and recommend.
