About this pro
Priced a 600 sq foot blueprint job at over $3,000 for a building that is already builtMay 15, 2018VerifiedPikul Inc A.'s reply
Our mistake providing an estimate without knowing the facts of the job. Customer didn't want to give us all the information for his project but we still gave an estimate.......... that was our mistake! Our bad.........still we don't think it's right that we should be rewarded with a one-star review for giving a free estimate!
Alan Pikul and his staff had many design suggestions that complimented our designs ideas perfectly. The staff, especially Mike and Robbie were amazing and very concerned with the entire construction project ,often stopping by just to check that any subcontractors were up to Apotects standards. We have been completely satisfied with the construction, clean up and follow-up of this 5 star project. We share our home with friends and family with pride.Mar 28, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We're old school so our prices are typically lower than most! We were bidding projects over 25 years ago....so we've seen how far prices have come. We are analytical and we know exactly how much things cost. We also believe in the Walmart mentality that if we give discount pricing we'll get a bigger client base. Every job has different fees but we are generally willing to negotiate to get new clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Everything starts with contacting the client. Find out as much information on project as possible. Provide a preliminary estimate based on a written scope of work or blueprints/plans. If customer is in agreement we draft up either a design contract or a contract for the services needed. If the client is in agreement we will then meet at the site to confirm and sign contracts. Sometimes we will go first to the site to see what needs to be done and then draft a contract.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Experience & training......we have many, many years doing this. We've either been a part, worked on, or provided our services to thousands of projects. Licensed over 21 years, in the industry over 35 years.
