Singing Lessons
After my first two lessons with Annie, she is absolutely fantastic! I’ve been working on a few songs for an upcoming project, and I was really struggling with my vocal solos. Not only was I unhappy with the sound I was producing, but I just couldn’t figure out how to use my voice the same way I’ve learned to use my other instruments; I’ve been a musician for a long time but just recently really started digging into singing. Annie helped me quickly identify a few key technical issues in my singing and showed me how to make great sound without using so much energy. Within minutes of implementing her suggestions, my voice already sounded clearer and more resonant. She showed me exercises to reinforce the concepts, and I’m looking forward to working more on the fundamentals with her. But Annie also helped me build a great ornamented vocal line for one of my tracks. She showed me how to weave the melody into my solo ideas so that the line was cohesive and fit within the overall context of the song. She really understood what I was going for and helped me refine what was in my head and explained how best to use my voice to express those musical ideas. I am really looking forward to continuing my work with Annie and am absolutely delighted at the progress she has helped me make so far. I highly recommend Annie for anyone looking to sing with better technical and musical control; she’s absolutely wonderful!

I decided to take lessons with Annie after I heard her sing at my church. I’ve always been a dancer and I wanted to sing so I could get cast in a musical. She has helped me to breathe differently and I can belt! I have more confidence and I’m able to make my voice project for the first time. Thanks, Annie!!

Annie is an awesome teacher. I’m so much more confident in my voice. She has taught me how to connect my body and brain to my singing. My breath and range have improved a lot! She is passionate, encouraging, and skilled!

Annie is quite the singing instructor! While I’m a beginner, she has patiently worked with me to understand how my voice works. Like a mechanic listening for the problem with your car, she has given me quite the tune up! I’ve discovered I have a wider range and I can hit much higher notes than I had ever thought. She is always giving me tips to make my sound come out easier and stronger. I have grown so much more confident as a singer now. We work online together and I’m amazed that she knows exactly what to say to help my sound come out more cleanly and beautifully.

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Annie. I started with her when I was in my senior year of high school trying to prepare to be the lead roll in my school's musical. She was instrumental in getting me ready and increasing my confidence in my voice as well as teaching me new skills to use during my performance. I took a break from lessons as I went off to college and a couple years later I have recently started to want to audition professionally for musicals in Philly. The first person I thought of was Annie. We have been doing voice lessons together again remotely for about a month now and it has felt like no time has passed at all. She has become both a teacher and a friend for me. Teaching wise she has a million tips and tricks for any kind of vocal situation. She is encouraging and dedicated to making you a better singer and will steadfastly work with you to achieve any goal you set. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone regardless of skill level or performance experience.
