Laura has been teaching piano to our daughter for four and a half years. She has a knack for creating a relationship with her student and challenging them to be the best student they can be. I appreciate that she understands the whole student, and works in a way to enhance that student's life through music. She can be firm and demanding at times, and understanding when the practicing falls short in light of life's other demands. At her recitals one can appreciate that she has students at every point on the spectrum of dedication to dabbling. She's been a wonderful leader in our daughter's life. Our daughter has blossomed into a very creative and successful student in these years.

Laura is an exceptional piano teacher that has touched my children's lives in many wonderful ways. They both became accomplished pianists, able to play any piece and compose their own music, from having her as their teacher. She earned the kid's respect early on and therefore they always looked forward to their lessons and never complained about practicing. Her sense of humor and her caring advice always left the kids with a smile of their face as they left her house from a lesson. Laura is a treasure; a true gem!

My 3 sons have taken piano lessons with Laura over the past 9 years. Laura does a wonderful job of teaching piano technique, music theory and music history in a engaging and positive way. The music education they receive is much deeper and more comprehensive than what I have observed from other piano teachers in the area. I highly recommend piano lessons with Laura!
