Personal Training

Ronnie is someone worth having as a personal trainer. As someone who normally does my own thing when working out, I was nervous with opening up to her when we first met. Needless to say, I had nothing to be so nervous about. Ronnie made a point of making me comfortable so I could voice my physical concerns and goals without any problem. She crafted a challenging workout plan for me to follow as well as put me on to counting the calories I eat to give me a firsthand look at what I need to put to aside in order to get to where I physically need to be. Incorporating a perfect form when exercising to get the maximum result is Ronnie's specialty. I definitely felt the difference between how I used to workout and how I workout now. If you are in search of a great trainer who knows her stuff and will stand by you every step of the way with encouraging words and proper motivation, Ronnie is it. Her style is such that it motivates me to push myself without feeling forced to. I truly get the most out of my workouts nowadays. I have Ronnie to thank for reigniting my love and value of exercise. Kudos to her.

Personal Training

I've never been in a gym before in my life. Ronnie was non-judgmental, determined and optimistic. She has a terrific personal style that is direct and always focused on my best outcome.

I've been working with Ronnie for over a year now and it's the best decision I've made toward meeting my fitness goals. I've never been self-motivated when it comes to weight training, so I started working with a trainer at a local gym, a large national franchise, but quit after a few months because I found the training to be way too repetitive with very little variety. I got bored. I heard about Ronnie from a local neighborhood board and it was a revelation that I could train at home, saving me time and the extra expense of a gym. She's been amazing at tailoring the workouts to keep me mentally engaged and ensuring that I'm progressing. And she's really fun to work with, always incredibly positive and engaged. She cares deeply about her clients and is always looking for ways to improve the experience. When we transitioned to training virtually, I was surprised by how seamless the experience has been. I don't feel like I'm compromising my fitness which is great. I can't recommend her enough!

Personal Training

When I came to Ronnie for help I need balance and strength training. I also needed to lose weight. Ronnie was able to focus on training and exercises she selected specifically for my needs. I have worked with Ronnie the last month and I've seen improvements in my abilities. I was worried that a trainer would have me perform exercises that my hip and knees cannot do just yet. I am confident that over time and with care and training from Ronnie, I will be able to do it. I started with 2 sessions per week and have recently increased the training to 4 sessions per week. Ronnie is devoted to her work and passionate about health. I am pleased with her performance and interaction with me. I would highly recommend Ronnie for all types of training that might be needed.

Personal Training

Ronnie knows her stuff and clearly enjoys what she does! She pushes me just the right amount to really challenge myself, something I have a hard time doing on my own. She pays close attention to form making me feel confident I’m working out safely with minimal chance of injury; another aspect of my training that has been hard for me. The gyms where we train are super clean, with great equipment and a friendly environment. Ronnie has been flexible with my schedule and provides work out ideas/instruction to help keep me on track on off days. Her pricing is more than fair for the high quality of training and useful information she provides! I started with the introductory package and will be signing on for more! Look forward to getting strong and healthy with Ronnie!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

No complicated pricing... I am more affordable than most trainers, while giving you all the high quality training and value.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes with hands on workshops, blogs, newsletters, and new certifications.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I was 41, my right hip and lower back started hurting. It started overnight, as if something had been strained but I hadn’t done anything in particular to hurt myself. My back hurt for weeks, so I finally went to a hip specialist in Beverly Hills – he was touted as one of the best. He told me I had degenerative disc disease. Agh!!! That sounded awful! “Disease!” But he told me most women over 40 got it. I did my homework and found out degenerative disc disease is when the discs that make up your vertebrae dry out and shrink, reducing the space between the discs, often causing pain. It’s a natural part of aging. The “hip specialist” prescribed a choice of either a pain killer, a patch or pills. I asked if there were a way to cure it and he told me it might subside but there was no way to reverse it. Well, I’m not a pill-popper. THAT’S JUST ME. I went to another western Medical Doctor. He suggested pain killers, stretching, and possibly fusing my vertebrae. I did not want surgery to my spine! I asked him “Doctor, if this was your wife, would you advise her to have the operation?" and he said no. Decompression, acupuncture, yoga and four chiropractors later I was worse than before. I gave up. I was at my wit’s end. A friend told me about a chiropractor who would give me a free consultation. I said, “But I've been adjusted, pulled, poked, and rubbed with cold gel followed by ultra sound… nothing has worked!” He said, “Go!” So I went. That chiropractor said it seemed like my problem was more of a quality of life issue, and that I didn’t know how to work-out and stay my active self without pain. So he placed me with a physical therapist and a PERSONAL TRAINER who was a CORRECTIVE EXERCISE SPECIALIST. Guess what happened? I stopped hurting! As we trained for about a year I would read about fitness, working-out, nutrition, anatomy and various ways of training and talk about it with my trainer. She kept telling me that I should become a personal trainer, that that I needed to become a personal trainer. I just laughed. Then about a year later, I woke up one morning and asked myself, “What do I want to do the next 20 years of my life?” I smiled and realized that I wanted to be a personal trainer. So at the ripe age of 46 I studied my brains out and passed my Certifications as fast as I could. I try to help others not only to not hurt, but to feel good, to feel fit, to be healthy and in shape. And, I don’t hurt anymore.
