I am not new to needing notary services over the years. Having said that, please know; I found, Srividya (notary) to Excel in her services as well as her demeanor. She is; pleasant, kind, professional, on time & knowledgeable. I also discovered that she has a law degree from out of country and while she is not practicing law in the USA, I personally believe it lends itself to her overall understanding of legal documents, opinions, etc. Srividya, would easily be the BEST notary (on many levels) I have ever used and highly recommend her to anyone. From the initial phone call and in-person consult, John had a very calm, nonjudgmental demeanor. I talked to a few other attorneys prior to deciding to work with John. Bankruptcy is a difficult, embarrassing, and sometimes confusing process. As a single practitioner and small business owner, John gives his clients the personalized attention that I think is needed for bankruptcy. He was readily available via phone, email, and even in-person meetings to explain the process and set expectations, answer any questions, and alleviate our concerns. He even helped with slightly unrelated financial/legal issues (tenant/landlord issues, rental security deposit questions, etc.) Other larger bankruptcy firms seemed to not care so much about the individuals they were serving and often advertised the bigger, well-known attorneys to reel clients in but actually had less experienced attorneys or even paralegals/interns do the majority of work on their cases. Some firms don't even have an attorney attend the bankruptcy hearing with you, which I would imagine to be nerve-wracking for the client. You want to make sure the paperwork is completed and filed correctly, you are well-prepared for your hearing, and that the process runs seamlessly, so you can have a quicker path to a fresh financial start. I would not have felt as confident about the outcome if I were to go through this process alone or have a junior level attorney or intern work on my case. John was great to work with, and I would highly recommend him to anyone considering making such a tough decision. It is a very impactful decision, so while there are bankruptcy attorneys available for a fraction of the cost, I think it is worth the larger investment to have a caring, accessible, and experienced attorney like John on your side to ensure a higher chance of having a positive outcome and seamless process to restarting your financial future. We began the process in December, attended our hearing in January, and received notification of our discharge in March. We are already working to rebuild our credit, which John also provided advice on how to best go about the post-bankruptcy rebuild. Thank you, John!

I have had the privilege of assisting Mr. Sorensen in a variety of matters over the past few years. Not only is Ashby a hardworking, dedicated, and professional attorney, he has an incredible ability to determine what the best possible outcome for his clients can be and is able to achieve that result. Any lawyer can be "aggressive," but Ashby knows when to work amicably with the prosecution and judge and when to fight in order to truly do what is best for his clients. I would recommend his services to anyone.

We had our first meeting at her office and it went very well! She explained what would be going on in the process or conduct of the case. What she can & cannot do, as well as inform me about a couple of things that I had done wrong already. My errors were made in ignorance of course because in 52 years of driving nothing like this has ever happened to me before! I paid her the retainer and hired her. She will be making all my appearances for me as well as taking care of all the misc. paperwork that goes with that! So, short of having to go to trial, which will be extra if it comes to that? I may not have to make any appearances at all. After our visit I have had some time to reflect on Our law enforcement personnel, the Court System and the California DMV. I've come to the conclusion in my own opinion that They are total disgrace to this state & our country in general. I've lost what little respect that I may have had for "The System" completely. And I think that is a shame and a terrible realization!

I consulted with Chris on my case and although I went with another attorney, Chris was very responsive and professional when we spoke on the phone. He listened to my concerns and followed up after our initial consultation. I called dozens of law firms all pushing for bankruptcy, which was not the way I wanted to go with my case. Chris was one of only two attorneys I spoke with who offered to look at the paperwork and review my options. I'm glad there are still good attorneys out there willing to fight for consumers. Thank you, Chris!

I am very pleased with Jeff Larkin! He made it easy for me. He explained everything and made sure I was informed on everything that was taken place. Once I retained him all the creditors calls stopped. I was nervous he assured me it would be fine. He took all of my phone calls. I was carrying around a big stress load. Once my court date was over it was like a big weight had been taken off my shoulders. He was very professional. He prepared me well for what the judge would ask me. Everything went very smooth! I would highly recommend Jeff Larkin and The Larkin Firm!!!! He is the BEST!

One word quickly comes to mind when I think of Mr. Fuhrman….integrity. He is an honest, hard-working, knowledgable and well-respected man. Going through a divorce is a very painful process and by having the support of him and his staff, I never lost hope. Unlike most attorneys, Bill is quick to return e-mails and phone calls. As busy as this man is, I never felt unimportant. My divorce was ugly and messy but with Bill's direction it was completed in an efficient and timely manner. I have referred more than half a dozen people to Bill in just a two year span and he has never not lived up to or exceeded their expectations. What I came away believing after working with Bill and his associate attorney, Michele Vallat (who is beyond incredible) is justice does prevail.

I can't say enough good about Jessica Lesowitz. Of all the attorney jokes you have heard, Jessica is the direct opposite. She was referred to me after 16 years into my divorce from a man that has more money than God and had been fighting me for every crumb the court made him throw my way. It was an emotional and exhausting 16 years. Then I met Jessica for our first meeting. Wow! A real person that practices law! I learned through our experience this past year that she is a brilliant attorney, humble and confident and compassionate. Sincerely! She will surprise you at how tiny she is, but don't let that fool you. She is a fearless powerhouse. She is the David that slayed Goliath. You will not regret hiring her to defend you, male or female. I am thrilled with the advice she gave me and the outcome of my litigation.

Mr. Deller was the first attorney to see on my list. After meeting with him, I knew he was the one I needed to help me with my case. He was honest and straight forward with his fees and he made me feel confident that he was the attorney for me. The staff made me feel welcome and they were all so friendly.

I was out with friends about 6 months ago and had a bit too much to drink and ended up in a car accident. I have never been in trouble with the law before and this was a very scary thing for me, especially since I work on a governmental job and having that on my record could be detrimental to my career. Mr. Pilato understood my predicament and him and the investigator he work with was able to throughly investigate the situation and also brought several experts witnesses to testify during the trial. Long story short he was able to get me an acquittal. Also, he is available at all times and made sure I understood everything that was going on throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends if they ever need a criminal lawyer. Joseph Ramirez

What does an immigration attorney do?

Immigration lawyers help their clients through all phases of the immigration process. Experts on immigration law, they are legally qualified to represent U.S. citizens, permanent residents or undocumented immigrants. Immigration lawyers also provide assistance to visitors here on student, work or travel visas, and can represent clients who may have an expired visa or who have overstayed their visa.

You can hire an immigration lawyer to assist you with petitioning for renewing a permanent resident or green card, navigating the naturalization process, submitting an employee-based petition for a work visa, filing a petition for a family member, or representing you or a loved one who is facing detention or deportation, as well as replacing, extending or changing a current visa, green card or work permit. The immigration process is highly complex, with multiple hearings, paperwork and requirements. Hiring a legal expert to represent you can help you make your best effort in the process. When researching immigration lawyers, it is very important to verify their qualifications and find a reputable attorney. Read reviews and verify that the immigration lawyer is licensed by your state before paying any fees.

How do you find a good real estate lawyer?

If buying or selling property feels overwhelming and the thought of finding a good real estate lawyer seems daunting, you’re in luck. There are some simple steps to follow for finding a trustworthy, affordable real estate lawyer to help with your property and legal needs.

  • Determine what kind of real estate lawyer you need. Many states require a real estate attorney to handle sale closing documents. For more complex matters such as a real estate deal gone awry or foreclosure, you’ll want to find an attorney who has successfully handled cases like yours.
  • Look for online reviews of real estate lawyers in your area. Verify that they have proven experience closing or winning cases like yours and that they are in good standing with the state bar association.
  • Choose two or three lawyers to interview. Many offer a free consultation to learn about your case and provide information about rates. For standard real estate closing services, in-depth interviewing might not be necessary.
  • Ask about their rates and whether they charge by the hour or provide services for a flat fee. Ask whether a retainer is required, and what the total bill should be for a case like yours.
  • Ask for a write-up of the services that will be covered by the projected costs.
  • Make sure you like the real estate agent and they treat you with respect. Confirm whether they or another person will be working on your case and make sure you’re comfortable with all members of their team.
  • Pay the retainer and hire your lawyer.

What is a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer fights on your behalf if you’ve been injured physically, psychologically, economically or in reputation. This injury may be the result of neglect or malicious intent of another person, or it could be at the hands of a business, government or other entity. Personal injury lawyers specialize in tort law, which is the law of civil wrongs like car accidents, company wrongdoing, unlawful imprisonment and more.

To become qualified to be a personal injury lawyer in the United States, a person must earn a bachelor’s degree, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from a law school. Most states then require the person to pass the bar exam to become licensed to practice law. Unlike many attorneys who require a retainer, personal injury lawyers often work on contingency fees. This means that in lieu of payment upfront, they receive an agreed-upon percentage of the settlement in case of a win.

What does a real estate lawyer do?

A real estate lawyer represents their client’s best interest in all matters related to the sale, purchase and ownership of real estate. They are experts in real estate law. In states that require a real estate lawyer to close home sales, the lawyer must review and finalize all documents before the deal can be legally completed. Real estate lawyers also help clients legally protect their rights when entering, exiting or renegotiating a real estate deal. You can hire a real estate lawyer as an individual or as a business. A real estate lawyer can help with negotiation, addressing mortgage fraud, managing foreclosures and bankruptcy, transfers of titles and deeds, property ownership disputes, zoning issues, creating a co-ownership contract for joint purchase of a property, and much more. Real estate lawyers can also protect you from issues that result when a known problem was not properly disclosed by the previous owner. Overall, real estate lawyers are an added cost when it comes to buying and selling property, but they also ensure your best interests are met, and that you and the people you are doing business with comply with the law.

What should you look for in a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer will advocate for your legal rights if you’ve been hurt in an accident at work or in daily life, have suffered from medical malpractice, or are struggling to have your insurance carrier cover your needs. It may be helpful to talk with two or three lawyers before selecting one. When looking for a personal injury lawyer, research their reviews and make sure former clients have had good experiences with them. Next, make sure the personal injury lawyer has experience and proven success winning cases similar to yours. Confirm that the lawyer is licensed to provide services in your state. When you find a qualified personal injury lawyer with whom you want to work, freely discuss payment and fees before any work begins. Most lawyers offer a free consultation to learn what your case is about and explain their rates. Personal injury attorneys typically receive a percentage of your settlement (called a contingency fee), so they are paid after the trial or case is complete. Keep in mind that some attorneys have fees that you must pay even if you don’t win your trial. It’s important to understand these details before work begins so you don’t have any unhappy surprises later. Lastly, it’s wise to choose a personal injury lawyer that you have confidence in and with whom you can communicate openly and honestly.
