Introduction: 123 Rock offers the most fun and enriching music lessons for kids and adults at your home or at our studio. We have world-class, professionally trained musicians with years of experience in the music field. With our instructors, you will find the perfect match for you, making your lessons a fun and fulfilling musical experience. Our method is simple, yet incredibly rewarding and effective. Known as "Imagination is Creation", it takes our students' favorite things in life and turns them into a musical experience to which they can relate. Our teaching plan combines reading music, playing both original and existing songs, improvisation, ear training, and composing music/writing songs. Our goal is to make our students happy musicians based on what they like and who they are. Marcos Moscat IS "Oustanding." He connects with each individual child and encourages the child to explore music through his/her specific interests--an approach that sets him apart from the rest. He instructs all four of my children in piano and guitar. My husband and I have enjoyed watching our children become musicians, and it gives me great joy to know that I don't have to nag them about practicing. They are inspired because Marcos's approach encourages them to believe in their abilities. Music theory is taught in a way that makes sense. Technique is developed through music they like, and when they are ready, more complicated pieces are introduced and developed. Music lessons are an investment in your child's life. It's my opinion that a parent should make that financial commitment with a music teacher who genuinely cares about his students and their progression in becoming musicians. Marcos is that kind of teacher. Isabel and Marcos Moscat manage a very well-run studio, and I respect their professionalism.

When my son Joshua was 5 years old I started the process of actively looking for a suitable Music Professional to teach him Guitar. We were very fortunate to have been referred to Marcos Moscat by a dear friend who raved about his gifts. She was right! Marcos Moscat is a wonderful, enthusiastic, genuine man who has the gift of distilling seemingly complex musical ideas into straightforward and accessible lessons. He is a performer, an artist and a composer who has the ability to play and teach any instrument, though strings and Piano are his strengths. In the time since Joshua has worked with Marcos he has helped him to compose his first original song at 6 years old and I believe subsequent original song writing, singing and playing Guitar all manifested as a result of working with a brilliant music teacher who is supportive, extremely patient and most importantly makes it so much fun! 3 years ago due to overwhelming demand Marcos opened his "123 Rock School of Music" in Westlake Village CA, and to our delight he has added a plethora of incredible music teachers in the arena of voice, piano, guitar, percussion to name but a few! We are delighted to report that all of the teachers and staff at "123 Rock School of Music" are top notch professionals who love to teach music and help make this a very positive experience for all Students of all ages!! I strongly recommend them as the best possible choice for all your Music lesson needs. They are very reasonably priced and as a result they are always fully booked and at times it is difficult to get placed in a time slot. Please be patient and persistent as it is worth the wait!! Marcos is a rock star (literally). He is super kind, an incredibly skilled musician and incredible with kids. I have two athletic boys who are not exactly musicians, but we really wanted them to enjoy music and learn an instrument. He has been instrumental in their success in learning the piano! I would (and do) recommend Marcos to all my friends and family!! His company, 123Rock School of Music is awesome!!

123 Rock School of Music is a place where children become inspired to love music while developing in theory and proficiency in their instrument. After losing another beloved music instructor, we were referred to "123 Rock School of Music" by a friend who is a professional in the music industry. Our three children have grown in their ability to play and understand piano, and are composing their own music after only a few months. In addition to watching our children become increasingly technically proficient, we have particularly appreciated the ability of our instructor to encourage and connect with each child.

I love my 123 Rock guitar lessons! I have taken lessons from Marcos Moscat for over 6 years now and I am still amazed at how much I learn each week. The lessons match what I want to learn and always open a door to learning something new that I can apply to many songs. My intention was to be able to play songs for my students at school, but he has taken me way beyond that. He has taught me across many genres and styles and has taught me music theory as well. He is brilliant on guitar and makes learning complicated pieces very accessible and fun! I have found so much joy through playing. I do rock now!!!
