FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are highly competitive with our pricing, we are flexible with the schedule of payment, we offer multiple ways to pay, we offer several discounts such as veteran, senior citizen, students, and birthday month (some discounts cannot be added to one another and combined. In case multiple discounts are available, the largest discount is the one applied to the quote provided). When we provide a quote to our homeowners, the price will always include all materials, labor, and fees. We might also include a permit allowance, and wood replacement allowance. But all in all we try to be as transparent as possible and up front about everything.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we have to come out and give our assessment of the roof. Once that is done, we provide the homeowner with some options, samples, and a competitive quote. If & when the homeowner wishes to proceed, we book a starting date. In the meantime we pull a permit as all of our projects are by law and up to code. We don't cut corners or take any shortcuts. Once we obtained the permit we can start the demo/tear-off of the existing roof. We ask the homeowner to have the driveway clear of vehicles so we can pull in with our dump truck. Once we finish with the demo (takes a few hours usually), we haul away the debris and the homeowners can park in the driveway if they wish to do so. The second step is to pass a city sheathing inspection. Once we have the permit signed by the inspector, we can start building the new roof (usually all the material is already on the roof waiting to be installed). It depends on the size of the roof and its type, but for the most part, after the sheathing inspection, it is a matter of 2 to 3 days to finish the average size roof and wait for the city's final inspection. Once we pass the final inspection, we provide the homeowner with all of the paperwork they need, if they need it. That's it, the homeowners can enjoy their new roof for many years to come!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When we started working in the roofing industry, we worked to gain the hands-on experience needed to master this trade. In 2002 we decided to officially open West Roofing Co. if we add all the years together we pass the 32+ years and counting. In addition to hands-on experience, and over 3 decades of working in the roofing business, we send our roofing specialists to yearly courses to get updates on all new roofing materials, roofing systems, and any changes made with our vendors and suppliers. We highlight ourselves with the best customer service one can ask for. We understand that we are here to solve a problem and provide families the protection they deserve from the outside elements.
