"I had never been exposed to TRX and a lot of the equipment he uses—like battle ropes and ladders. He brings all the equipment over in an enormous tote bag along with free weights and kettle bells. I started to enjoy working out again and after the first month, I started to feel stronger and more optimistic that I was making progress as the workouts became harder. You are working out every muscle group and I was sore but I didn’t get injured and I really looked forward to the sessions.
At his suggestion, I started hiking with him near my house once a week and that was enormously helpful to get off my butt and develop a routine. He would set the pace and kept increasing the pace as I trudged behind him until I could keep up and that motivated me to do it on my own between sessions. He would monitor all the workouts on his Apple watch so I could see the progress.
I needed a jump start on all of these things and Michael went above and beyond, spending way more time than he was being paid for to make sure I stayed on track.
I needed a lot of encouragement to push beyond my limits and he was definitely exactly what I needed to accomplish all of these lifestyle changes.
In less than 6 months, I lost 30 lbs and I was no longer feeling sluggish and out of shape.
I have been working with Michael for over a year and I have learned much in the process to continue my weight loss and fitness quest. He is a great guy and has become a friend and fitness mentor. He does trail running and competes on the weekends as an elite athlete but he is very down to earth and really understood my challenges. He got me out of an emotional and physical rut and I am now able to go to classes and keep the pace and hike to the top of a mountain on a regular basis—which was very out of reach a short time ago.
Whatever you are trying to achieve and whatever your issues are, he listens and pays attention and he will go the extra mile to support you and provide workouts that are efficient and effective along with lots of tools to succeed.
