Latest Review: When I moved to the SF Bay for a tech job out of college, I was tempted to go the route of IKEA and fill my house with flimsy, boxy, and sterile furnishings in the interest of just having a space to live. James taught me how to parse out my own personal taste (I prioritize functionality, but I also want pieces that will age well, and convey a history and emotion) and guided me toward new and old pieces that made my apartment a reflection of myself, all within my budget. Most importantly, he left me with the tools to make my own judgments on how to outfit my living space going forward. To this day, friends love coming to visit my home and revel in its unique atmosphere. I attribute this to James' skill at helping me discover my own taste and aesthetic preferences.
