I was recently referred by a friend to try a bootcamp of Impact Fitness and I was not disappointed! The trainers were very knowledgable and energized which made the workouts fun and challenging. We started out with some warm-up exercises, and spent the next hour working out our arms, legs, abs, everything! It was definitely a total body workout, and I felt great when I left! The trainers absolutely rocked! They were extremely tuned in to everyone's individual needs, modifying or increasing the difficulty as needed. I'd definitely recommend this team of trainers to anyone interested in making a stride in their personal fitness. Im looking forward to the next bootcamp!
Beth is # 1!!! There are many reason's why so I hope you continue to read as I give you the "short" version :-P For years I worked out at the same gym. Watched it change names, class instructors & trainers. I always dipped in to see if I jived w/them, if they knew what they were talking about or if they pushed people. One day while working out on the main floor I kept hearing "Switch it up" come from the class room. People were running around, faces red, out of breath and all from this tiny cute woman. So of course after the class I ask people what that class was all about and EVERYONE had a positive statement about "The Gauntlet" - along with "You gotta try it". I got to the gym the next day to see a line of people waiting to get into her class. Needless to say, I did it. Within 1 hr I got more of a work out than I had all week. Left there feeling great, sweaty, sore, out of breath, red faced and smiling, thinking to myself - damn that was hr. Just before I walked out, Beth walked up and introduced herself and thanked me for coming to her class. I was impressed that she took note that I was new considering she had a full house. From that day forward I became addicted to the Gauntlet - or in Detroit - you became a Gauntlet junkie!! It would upset me if my work schedule changed and I couldn't make her class. Some days I would do the 5pm class and then the 6pm class. Beth PUSHES you beyond what you THINK u can't do. Gives you view about your body, how it progresses, operates and educates you during the class about functional training. One of the BEST parts of her class is that everyday is different! There is never the same workout. You use free weights, your own body weight, boxes, sledgehammers, tractor tires for flipping, reteaches you how to climb rope and SO MUCH more! We became friends instantly and joked all the time. She very personable, truly cares and will call you on your BS :-) She goes above and beyond! To most trainers you are a dollar sign but to Beth you are her client (if u get luck - her friend). She cares, wants to make sure you are happy, achieve your goals and can pay it forward. Lastly...I told Beth "I'm getting married." Like most women, we want to drop a few LBS before the big day. Beth worked me harder than ever before. She was on me about my nutrition, my work outs, stress of the big day, how resting is important and water consumption. Not only did I do her class once in the am, I was back at night for another class and worked out with her on the side. She did my weight ins, measurements and contacted at the end of some days to see how I was doing. Talked me off the ledge (so to speak) when I didn't see the LBS drop from the scale. She told me "Be happy you are losing inches! Be happy cause that was your goal - loose inches to get into your dress - don't pay attention to the scale because u are stressed." Of course I rolled my eyes and came back for more. We'll, after working out w/her for 2 months straight, a bunches of inches lost, feeling better than ever before, the scale STILL hadn't gone down - I was able to fit in a dress that I ordered 2 sizes to small. She was right! 4 days later I got married and w/in 2 days I was down 5 lbs. Laughing at myself I text Beth from Mexico to tell her she was right. You will not go wrong having Beth as your trainer, massage therapist (forgot to talk about that - but amazing!), health guru, nutritionist ,etc. She is by far the BEST. She is missed greatly in Detroit and everyone would stand in line again to walk into her class and welcome her!!
Over the course of four months, I worked with two different trainers. Each was knowledgable, focused on results, professional and courteous. I am very pleased that I selected TrainerSF.
Hashim is a very professional and an extremely pleasant person to work with. I came to Hashim with a desire to compete in my first men's physique competition. This is no easy task by any standard, diet and workout have to be entirely on point. Hashim did a great job educating me on the demands of such competitions, and preparing me for what I was about to get into. One thing I noticed right away is that I was very comfortable with him, and trusted his judgement. The training protocol I would say was really good, the diet could have used a little more attention, but over all I was very please with the results. Hashim brought be a long and way really got me fired up about fitness, diet, and healthy living. Let me also just say I am not a vegan, and Hashim treated me no different, truly a great guy, and well educated in the fitness space.
I have been with Xclusive Speed for a while now, I love every session I have. The trainer is completely engaged throughout and leaves me feeling rejuvenated. I’ve seen a change in my inner and outer self, feeling and looking good is the best. I can tell the trainer is passionate about helping people with their goals. I highly recommend him, pricing is fair as well!
I've had other trainers before and it's rarely worked out for me. I like that Rashad really took time out to learn about my aims. It also helped that he paid close attention to challenges I've had. It's not often you come across a trainer who'd listen.
Last summer I decided to lose weight, improve my strength, overall fitness so I can run again. I was looking for a trainer that will help me achieve all the above, and Jose was highly recommended by his peers. Choosing him over many other trainers was the best decision I made. Jose is very patient, professional, compassionate, and a great listener. He designed a comprehensive, challenging, and fun program, to help me lose weight and improve my strength. Within few weeks, I started to notice results. Jose is very knowledgeable and scientific about his training programs. He is not only showing, but he explains the proper form for each exercise, thus keeping me from being injured. Nutrition is a huge part of the training regimen Jose designed for me. He gave me general guidelines for a nutrition plan that is complementary to my training program. Jose has many qualities I already mentioned that single him out is such a competitive field. The attention to detail, the focus and passion Jose has for the field of exercise, are traits that I always admired. Currently Jose is a graduate exercise physiology student at SF State University. I would recommend Jose to anyone looking for a compassionate, yet professional, and knowledgeable personal trainer.
George is a great trainer! He has been very helpful when I’ve had a sore back. Offers alternatives to exercises when I have been unable to perform certain exercises due to pain. Helps me stretch and strengthen to get me stronger. My focus in training is to get stronger and be healthy, not to get the perfect bikini bod. He is nonjudgmental in his approach. I’ve been working out with him for over a year and he has been great!
Stephen definitely helped me and challenged my physical condition. I used to play rec sports and considered myself somewhat active but you know that office job can suck your inner athlete away before you know it. I work a 9-5er and sit at my desk for a good portion of the day. I've reconditioned my posture and pain due to hours of typing and clicking the mouse to something more manageable. At work, I've changed my desk habits with exercises without looking like a fool and gained endurance from training exercises. For the value of what Stephen charges, I'm beyond satisfied. I'll be training with him for my future competitions. Oh, and I achieved my weight loss goal within the timeframe - just make sure it's achievable and you do your part. There's no sense in eating poorly and "working out" when you can do that on your own - he kept me accountable.
I have known Alma for over 4 years and have the upmost confidence in her knowledge and abilities. I have worked alongside her and been inspired by her commitment to nutrition and fitness. I consider myself pretty savy when it comes to working out and basic food prep but in preparation for a trip to Costa Rica I reached out to Alma for some guidance to tone up before having to put on a bikini for week. She truly went above and beyond my expectations sending me very specific guidelines for my meals and working out and helped me by being available for random questions and accountability to my goals. In the two months I followed her advise I was able to tone up and feel great knowing I am getting the proper amount of protein, carbs and fats. One of the things I love most about working with Alma is her non judgmental and caring demeanor. One of my biggest fears when thinking about working with someone is feeling judged or talked down to and she does a great job of keeping it empowering and not intimidating. Alma truly possess a passion and talent for what she does and would recommend her to anyone with nutrition/fitness/overall health goals!

I started working with Colette in December of 2015 with the intent to enter a bikini competition. I needed help sculpting my body and losing that last bit of extra fat. She gave me a tailored meal plan based on the nutrition I needed and took into account the foods I did and didn't like. Its easy and clear to follow and my cravings are diminished. We meet regularly to check in on progress and workout together, and have a daily checkpoint on how everything is progressing. The moral support has gotten me through the emotional ups and downs of changing my body. I'm now one week away from my bikini competition, and I have never looked better in my life. Strangers stop me frequently in the gym and ask me "What's your secret?!" and I tell them it all comes down to healthy diet and a knowledgeable coach (and a dash of willpower!). I can run! I've been working with Cindy and her company, Active Break since March of 2014. When we first started, she came and worked out with me at a gym in my office's building. Later, our office moved to a gym-less building, so I started going to her studio. I was really, really out of shape. I was able to get myself to the gym on my own for a while, but then I threw my back out, got sick, and just stopped going. I had spoken with doctors and one of those trainers that they have meet with you when you start at new gym. What I gathered from the doctors and gym trainers was that I shouldn't do any high-impact exercise, especially running, as it could hurt my knee and back further. Cyndi worked with me to strengthen my leg and lower back to the point that I was able to complete my first 5k a few months ago. I ran around Lake Merrit this morning and last night. I'm still amazed. She challenges me to do things I don't think I can do. Then a few weeks later those things become normal, they get easier, I get stronger, and she challenges me to do something else. She's simultaneously tough and kind. She's changing my life, really. I'm really, really grateful to be able to work with her. She's got me doing "Power Cleans" with bar bells (though I don't know why they're called Power Cleans), Squats with weights, Kettle Bell swings, various crawls (ouch), free weights, burpees, and much more. I feel like I have control over my body. I've got a ways to go before I'm at a weight that I'm happy with, but I know it's possible. If I followed her nutrition advice like I should, I'd be a lot closer to my goal, but with her help, I'm a lot closer than I started. She focuses on an overall lifestyle change, not crazy diets and killing yourself to fit into a certain size or to get ready for a wedding, although she does train for and compete in fitness competitions herself. She keeps telling me she's gonna put me in a fitness competition. I roll my eyes, but she'll probably wear me down and then I'll thank her for it. Thanks, Coach Ugochi! Thanks, Active Break!

She has the background and does the research so I know I'm on the right path. Her wit and humor quiet my mind when I start to hit a wall. I was feeling major progress 2 months after my son was born, in my pre pregnancy jeans after 5 and was in a bikini 8 months later despite my sporadic schedule and required down time. My experience with Luis was great. He is very professional and he takes his job serious . Different from a lot of the trainers at any gym that I had before him, Luis has a great curriculum and great knowledge about your body and how to change it. Also, he has lost of experience in this field. When I started training with him, I did not lift a lot, now I am in love with weight training and the results are amazing. My body could not be better. My husband tells me all the time that I look amazing and better than before I had my kids : ) Thanks to Luis, I found out that I had a thyroid problem that was making it harder to loose weight. He told me to get my hormones checked and he was right. Only good things to say about this great trainer.
Christian and Jennifer are two of the most knowledgeable trainers that I know and I have learned a lot from both of them. They know exactly how to get you into shape whether it is to look amazing in a bikini or to look good in that dress you haven't worn in years. I love working out with Chris. I've been working out with him for years and he is simply the best! His workouts are really tailored to what I want, and I always leave a workout accomplished and most importantly SORE, lol. He is a great trainer and will get to you to your fitness goals if you do your part and work hard on your end!
Extremely fortunate to have been able to find a trainer with his level of expertise. To begin I was very impressed with the knowledge and explanation behind every stretch Rene has me do prior to my workouts, this in itself separates Rene from most trainers in the industry. The workouts themselves are always catered to my abilities and goals, leaving me with an extreme feeling of accomplishment and progress to prove it. To end let me just say that after years of attempting to train on my own, I haven't achieved the amount of progress I have made only months after I began training with Rene. This is your new trainer!

Melissa is awesome!! She tailored to my needs and know what to do to help focus on my goals. I got my bikini body and amazing shoulders in a short period of time! She is movtivated, very active, and easy going. Every workout with her is so fun! If it wasn't for time and financial conflict I would continue training with Melissa.
