Kandis is a top-notch yoga instructor--and I am VERY particular about yoga instructors. She is the only personal yoga instructor I have ever had who thoughtfully explains what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how it impacts the muscles and structure of your body as you do it, too, which I love. Because of this I find myself easily integrating yoga into my day on days I don't see her just because I know what to do and how to do it. She also has a fun personality and you can easily see she actually enjoys teaching yoga which makes the process of doing yoga 10x's more enjoyable. I leave our sessions together feeling so much better energetically and physically than I typically do from yoga. If you are looking for an excellent yoga teacher who is thoughtful, thorough, highly intelligent, fun to work with, who will foster and help you grow your own love of yoga beyond your sessions together, you need Kandis in your life!
Melissa is a great yoga instructor; nurturing for beginners and also challenging for experienced yoga practicers. And she brings fun, energy, and caring to the class. I took her class weekly for a couple years and learned a lot from her.

I've loved yoga for a long time and I really wanted to deepen my practice. I took Holly's vinyasa flow class at Equinox. I loved her style and we decided to work together one on one. Now Im doing hand stand at the wall! I really appreciate how Holly breaks down the poses and, even when Im thinking "no way", she always helps me experience what part of the pose i CAN do. Its super fun and empowering.

I had a private yoga session with Claire and as someone new to yoga, I felt that Claire's instruction was clear and helpful. I've gone through a few yoga techniques on my own following the instruction of youtube videos, but I found Claire's session to help take me to the next level. She corrected my form and technique to help me get the most out of my yoga and I could really feel the difference in what I was doing before versus what I learned from the private session. Claire helped me loosen up my hips and introduced a few new poses that I've added to my routine and helped fine tune the ones I was already familiar with. Overall, I enjoyed my session with Ferox Yoga and would definitely try more classes in the future.
For me, Ericka is one of those people that you feel fortunate when you cross paths with them in life. I met Ericka when she started teaching yoga at my company twice a week more than two years ago. She is easily relatable, down to earth and doesn't take her self too seriously - but she definitely knows her yoga. Our class is a great combo of folks who take yoga seriously and folks who are there for work yoga. I appreciate how she tries to tailor each class based on what types of ailments each of us have that day. But more than that, Ericka has been a friend and an awesome teacher for me personally, so if you have the chance to meet her and work with her - I would highly recommend it. Gabe
I typically practice yoga in SF, but when in the East Bay...I do as yogis do & enter the world of serenity & positivity at So Yoga & Healing🙏🏼 The marvelous Margaret led her classes with constant professionalism with a welcoming & casual approach. I appreciate how her classes begin with student participation honoring special requests (e.g. focus on lower body, hips, core, etc.) or considerations (e.g. those with ankle injuries, weak backside, etc.). Most especially, I enjoy each closing savasana that allows one to decompress mentally, emotionally, physically - this is made possible because of Margaret's subtle, yet effective use of aromatherapy oils, a sweet treat every time! And lastly, what makes this class astounded original is the rhythmic beats of reggae tunes accompanying nearly each asana that Margaret carefully guides her students through: cannot wait until the next time & that's for real mon! I am so grateful to have found Apoorva More Yoga on Thumbtack. I was in need of private in-home yoga due to an acute case of Adrenaline Fatigue caused primarily by stress. Apoorva has taught me restorative poses and breathing exercises that have been helpful in relaxing me and reducing my stress level. I would highly recommend her for anyone desiring to develop or strengthen a yoga practice. Besides being kind, empathetic and nonjudgmental, she is very skilled in modeling and teaching yoga so that one can optimize the benefits. Under other circumstances, I would not have thought of private instruction, but now realize that I have gotten more out of my sessions with her than the various classes I have taken over the years.
I have known Alia for a very long time now and worked with her for about two years. She was the perfect trainer for me because of her background in Yoga. I have back and knee problems from when I played soccer and Volleyball and she was very responsive to that and knew all the right workouts and stretches. She kicked my butt with out out hurting me further. So if you are someone who has any kind of back problem or anything really she can work around that! Regina was amazing to work with! She immediately recognized things about my body that I've been struggling to identify for years. I selected Elena for some private yoga sessions as I had a friend who had taken classes from her and highly recommended her. I've been studying yoga for many years off and on, and am a retired dancer so I am both knowledgeable and quite picky about instructors. Elena was wonderful. I recently had surgery and had some restrictions so I decided to pursue some private sessions. Elena is very highly trained in modifying flows and postures to accommodate physical limitations. As well as assisting in the strengthening and rehabilitating of the injured or weaker muscles/joints. The sessions left me feeling more relaxed, yet stronger and with clear skills to work on independently. She seemed also very intuitive and responsive to how I was feeling each session and would adapt her energy and routine accordingly. The privates were absolutely worth the dollars and time. You will find Elena very warm, responsive, and reliable. Her instructions are very clear and have a soothing tone and energy. She's so kind and positive. Shows maturity, confidence and definitely motivated me and deepened my love and understanding of yoga. I will continue to schedule private lessons with Elena periodically. Gina took a very personal approach when we started our lessons. I suffered from sciatic pain after a lower back/ spasm injury due to a bulging disk so decided to try yoga to help strengthen my lower back and lessen my pain. She was always prepared with different poses to improve my health. She has a true passion for the practice and helping her patients. Gina was in it for the journey with me and I really appreciated that.
