Jiri in the office quoted 2 men for $80 an hour, or 3 men for $105 an hour. I gave Jiri explicit information and asked for an estimate on what he thought the final cost would be. Jiri said because of afternoon traffic, it could cost between $250 and $300. It took 2 hours, the men worked fast, wasted no time and worked quickly and professionally. However, Jiri charged $300 for the job anyway. Not the 2 men at $80 or $160 total quote. I paid the men $240, because they were good and it was not their fault but it was Jiri in the office I had the problem with. Plus, at this point, I was then told there was a $240 minimum. First I heard of that, and it should have mentioned before and been put in writing. I have my notes, no, never mentioned that. The men told me to take it up with Jiri. I was ready to give them a big tip but by then I was frustrated and annoyed. Not my first rodeo, Jiri. I've moved before. You don't get away with that. Stick to the quote, don't give an estimate of the job that is inflated and then try to stick to that, and if there is a minimum, put that in writing on the quote. Or was it possibly just a misunderstanding? In that case, you owe me $80. Summary: 1 bedroom move, SF to Walnut creek, total move time: 3 hrs + .5 hr return to bay bridge. Total cost: 377.50 (tip not included) I needed my one bedroom moved from SF to Walnut Creek. Items to be moved were: 1x bookshelf 2x 3-drawer dressers 1x standing desk 1x small dinner table 4x chairs 1x recliner 1x dresser 5x moving boxes 1x nightstand They were super flexible. Unbeknownst to me, my apartment has weekday moving hours starting at 10, and the movers were supposed to arrive between 9 and 10. When they arrived at 9:20, I explained that we would not have usage of the parking spot, or the elevator. They double parked on the street, laying out safety cones, and got started, using the stairs and moving items via elevator when necessary. The van was packed by 10:40, and on its way to Walnut Creek. After we arrived at ~11:15 (they arrived at the same time I did, no dallying), the unload took another 50 minutes or so, and we were done. Total charges: 3 hrs x $85 moving .5 hrs x $85 return trip $80 travel fee $377.50 total + additional tip. I expected only 3 hours, so it was a little more expensive than I had been hoping to pay (I didn't know movers wrapped things), but their flexibility and efficiency was worth it. I would hire Larro's again.
Very experienced professional movers and so friendly too! Carlos and Miguel were great, but I'd definitely recommend hiring 3 movers if you're moving an entire apt. They disassembled all of our furniture and put it back together, and even asked where I wanted certain things positioned and moved everything until it was perfect. So happy we hired them!
I had a great experience with MEAA movers. They showed up on time, helped us pack up our apartment and got everything moved in quickly and without any damage. And you can't beat their price!

=== SUMMARY === I am a software engineer in Silicon Valley living in a one-bedroom apartment. The idea of moving all my packed boxes and large pieces of furniture, like my sofa, entertainment center, and bookcases, was extremely daunting. Do I hire friends to help me move? Do I hire expensive professional movers? Do I do it myself and get one of those PODS? "Ain't nobody got time fo' dat!" Steve and Joe from Albion Moving and Storage were able to move all my items into their truck and to their final destinations safely and quickly. Their truck was extremely large, so even the largest pieces had room to be properly lifted in and carried out. What made me pick Albion Moving and Storage over other competitors at first was their cheaper hourly rate and their 2-hour minimum. Whereas most other moving companies require a 3-hour minimum, these guys only required 2 hours. In my head, I felt the job would only take 2-or-so hours, so this made the most sense. Steve and Joe worked extremely quickly and efficiently, and the job legitimately took 3 hours. And that is great. It would have taken my friends and I all day (possibly two) to do everything these guys did in 3 hours. Steve and Joe are extremely nice and awesome. They made sure they knew where each item was going (new apartment or storage) and got everything to its final destination quickly and with great care. I am for sure going to be calling these guys again next time I need to move. This was my first moving experience living on my own, so I was extremely nervous. These guys put me at ease and have gained my trust. Thanks Steve and Joe! === DETAILS === They disassembled my dining table quickly and efficiently to have it all fit in my storage unit I was moving things to. They also let me purchase a sofa cover for $5 (very cheap compared to what the storage facility I was using charges for them). I actually had two places I needed my stuff moved to: A storage unit and my new apartment. This was no problem for them. They put everything into their large truck, went to the storage unit, put in everything that went there, and then drove to my new apartment, where they moved in all the remaining items. I was afraid this "moving items to two places" thing was going to be a problem, but it was not at all. They disassembled and reassembled my bed for me, which was very nice. They brought their own doorstops, and had all the equipment they needed to move even my heaviest piece of furniture (my entertainment center). They also have their own insurance, which is a very important detail when hiring movers. The whole process with them took 3 hours. I already had all of my stuff in boxes and all the furniture empty and ready to be moved. All they had to do was move things from my apartment to the truck, and then from the truck to the new locations. They were very efficient at putting the furniture into my storage unit. Had I been charged with storing the items inside, I would have done it in such a way where it wouldn't have fit. These guys assured me they could fit everything, and were able to make everything fit perfectly on their first attempt. (No rearranging was needed, they had already planned out what would go where as soon as they saw the storage unit and the space they had to work with.) Definitely will hire again!
I hired harp for hanging art and moving love seat from sf to napa, my movers cancelled on me at last min on Sunday 23rd july. I found harp from Craigslist and he showed up in 30 min. When He brought love seat to napa I found I had a wrong key, he was at napa at 10 pm, it was my blunder but he really cool guy and offered his servicd to go back to sf and bringing a right key, we went back to sf and briougt right key. He also finished hanging art at my new apartment at midnight, he did not charge me either for extra driving to sf. ! What a cool guy. I am writing this review not only he is professional and know what he is doing but also he is a kind man
My original movers cancelled on us the day we were set to move. I called D&J moving that morning and they were at the house within 2 hours. Very responsive and saved the day! They were quick and meticulous about the job. Great people to work with. I would highly recommend them for any of your moving needs.
I highly recommend Ddt movers! They ensured our move went smoothly and didn't mind staying an hour longer because we had so much stuff and underestimated the time. It was really impressive to see how easy they made our move look! :-)

First time using Fresh Start! I was referred to them by a friend of mine who they just recently moved and she had a wonderful experience. Great company with great customer service. Couldn't be happier with the estimate and move-in. They turned a huge move to Windsor into a smooth transition. From the moment they arrived the movers were professional, experienced, polite, cautious, thoughtful, efficient, quick and always had a smile on their face! They truly take their time in protecting your items and are very courteous. After a big four bedroom move we were done in 8 hours. We had A LOT of stuff to move but the men who helped me made it super painless. They worked there butts off! IF/when I move again (which I hope isn't anytime soon) , I'll have Fresh Start on speed dial!

We had a particularly challenging move, getting a washing machine out of a basement where the machine barely fit through the doorway and stairwell. The Leclair movers were careful to pad the glass portion of the washer to protect it and were persistent and found a way to get the washer out.

I hired MP Movers (Marquiz) to assemble a 6 drawer IKEA dresser. He arrived right on time and was very polite. The dresser came in 3 different boxes which had to be moved downstairs to my daughter's room, which he did for me. He was so conscientious that at one point the instructions didn't match the materials and he brought this to my attention. He quoted me a flat fee and stuck to that. All in all, I couldn't have been happier and I will definitely hire MP Movers again. I highly recommend Marquiz and MP Movers.

We had a great experience with Sam. My boyfriend and I were in a bind with our piano - we needed to move it to another room in our apartment ASAP and discovered Saturday that it would be impossible without professional movers. I found Sam and he responded almost immediately (on a Saturday!) that he would be able to come the following day (a Sunday!). He was there on time with one other guy, and they did an excellent job wrapping up the piano, putting it on its side, and navigating it through our narrow San Francisco hallway and around corners to the other room. They were SUPER fast too - in and out in ten minutes! Overall we were very happy and would definitely hire them again. Thank you!!
Alan and his son Ty were an amazing father-son team. They were incredibly friendly, polite and professional. Hauled all my stuff away in about 20 minutes. Would gladly hire them again! If you work with College Hunks, ask for Alan and Ty!
