She did exactly what I wanted ! Excellent makeup artist. Just wish she was on time. But she did finish right on the dot so can't complain too muchJun 21, 2016Verified
Great makeup artist! Jennifer came to my house and was super flexible with timing. My makeup looked so amazing and perfect. I definitely recommend her for any makeup or hair needs. She knows what she's doing and was really good at nailing the exact look I wanted!Jun 6, 2016Verified
Wedding Hair Styling
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This woman was so sweet in person...however, this was the WORST experience I have ever had for a paid service. I gave her a photo of how I wanted my makeup and another photo of how I wanted my hair, both came out nowhere near the photos I gave her. She was very clumsy in the process as well. I had mascara in my hair, she "forgot" to put primer on me and realized it after half my face was done, she kept getting black eye shadow all over under my eyes on accident, she didn't blend my makeup at all, I was packed with different pie elders and blush that my skin looked disgusting, she didn't know how to give me more volume on top of my hair so she teased it so much that I literally had hair falling out when I washed it, the curls turned out to be a nest, and it was overall a horrible experience. I never complained while I was there because she was so nice and I figured maybe it will look different when she's done. However, her finishing look was so gross that I was embarrassed to even go into Taco Bell, let alone walk down an aisle. Without me saying anything negative and just telling her thank you...she offered me a free second trial because she knew it came out nothing like the photos. I told her okay and left. Late that day I was feeling so stressed because I had just paid her a $160 trial fee and I knew from that experience she wasn't going to be the person. I KINDLY apologized her for wanting to ask her for $100 back and she could keep the $60 for her time. In my message I went on and on about how sweet she was and how I felt bad for even mentioning that I wasn't happy. And as a "professional" this is exactly what she wrote me back "Our trial consultation is non refundable. You even said the looked you picked on your wedding day isn't the choice you want to do anymore. I even gave you the option to have another free trail with me which is off the table now. My products are not cheap and before our consultation I went out looking for your makeup and hair kit. I feel that you don't appreciate 2 hours and 15 minute of my time with you. Normally consultations do not take that long and other Makeup Artist will charge by the hour! You should have been more vocal about your look and the reason why your hair was not curled as much because you told me you wanted more bigger volume on top after I was already finished curling your hair. The reason why we have a trail, so we can both communicate and talk about how to create the look. You were not honest with me in person, so how do i know how to achieve what you want? I even asked you on the pressure of your eyebrows, and the mascara in your hair that was a honest accident you think intentionally i meant to do that? You can easily wiped it off with makeup wipe. Even letting you know in order to book me you will need to put down a deposit and you expected to me see without making one while I had the integrity letting you know other clients are requesting me for that day and you offended me when I gave you my home address and saying its showing as a shopping center, like you assume i didn't know where i live and for the future you should have your hair already cleaned and completely dry if someone doing only updos or style." Now keep in mind..I know some hair stylist prefer the hair to be damp so they can blow dry it a certain way. When I asked her..she said yeah to come with it damp. 10 minutes before I left my house she sent me a text saying actually come with it dry. Which I did. That was that, how was I suppose to know? Also, I asked her about her address because I was driving 45 minutes away to go to her (since she was supposedly ranked #3 in SF)....and it kept saying the address she gave me was a shopping center which was confusing me since she lives in an apartment. So I have no idea how that offended her? Nonetheless, I never even replied back to her rude message and she kept the money knowing her customer wasn't happy at all. If I was able to post the pictures on here to show how horrific I looked, I would. I don't believe any of the positive reviews she had and I'm so upset I went to her. Go to her with cautionApr 2, 2016VerifiedMakeup & Hair Styles by Jennifer's reply
It's unfortunate to hear that you are not satisfied with your service. I hope your next makeup artist will achieve all your needs. I do hope you feel confident that you will look stunning on your wedding day! Take care
She's extraordinarily talented and professional! I love her work!! She did my Hair and Makeup for a professional photoshoot and I absolutely loved it, the care and time she put into making me beautiful were a clear reflection of her fantastic skills which made me feel more confident than ever and resulted in the most fantastic experience I've ever had when getting dolled up by a true doll and professional makeup artist like her ! I totally recommend her if you're looking for an outstanding MUA!Nov 19, 2015

Jennifer did a great job helping me with makeup at a group headshot session. Very pleasant to work with. I would have liked her there a little earlier than she arrived so I gave 4 stars.Feb 26, 2018Verified
