What types of customers have you worked with?
Consultation is the biggest service I provide for my clients. Getting to know you and your design style (you have one, even if you don't think you do). Helping you define where to start, how much you can afford to do at one time and how to complete your project in stages to stretch your dollars. I am a 'hands on' designer. My expertise covers structure changes, as well as, furniture placement and accessorizing.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The first meeting is critical to get off on 'the right foot'. Be prepared to share your thoughts on what you want to achieve. If you aren't sure let your designer know that so he or she can guide you. I keep records of colors and purchases long after the job is complete. I have numerous clients who call me later wanting to change or update or order something we didn't the first time around.
