Introduction: I love helping students who feel stuck in their growth as singers - taking them from being unseen and unheard to taking Center Stage! I'm passionate about helping others find their voices and fully express themselves and telling stories with music! I would like to invite you to a free 30 minute introductory lesson to how I can help you become confident with your vocal technique and performances. Whether my clients are just starting to discover their voices or if they are pros with the goal of polishing their performances, I'll help them reach their goals. Together, we'll do the inner and physical work to develop vocal technique, song delivery, acting and audition prep, and personal development as singers and musicians. I’m now teaching online at voicelessons.com! I starting teaching after I completed my Masters Degree, and I’ve been performing for most of my life! I'm a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and Pan American Vocology Association. I love it when my students are successful in learning a new concept and seeing their skill sets and confidence grow. I see their joy whether it's getting a part for which they've auditioned, getting into the school of their choice or seeing them perform on stage!

Singing Lessons

Liz is the real deal. She was able to pick up on the needs of my daughter and focus on that. She didn't waste time on things already learned or trying to reteach or practice things already known. She makes the lesson count without making it onerous. She is a true professional willing to teach the serious student. She is also kind, motivating (without being condescending) and understanding. I appreciate her flexibility and adaptability in working with my teen daughter. Because of her my daughter is enjoying singing!

Singing Lessons (for adults)

I have really enjoyed working with Liz this past year. The techniques that she teaches not only elevate your singing skills, but also improve overall vocal quality and performance. Liz is great about addressing all aspects of the vocal experience, and still making it fun to learn and improve!

Acting Lessons

I'm having a lot of fun! The hour just slips by and my monologue improves tremendously from the start of the lesson. It's also one-on-one so I get all the attention I need.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

During the 30 minute introductory lesson, we talk about what the student's goals and aspirations are. Then, we jump right with me listening to the student to see what his or her needs are, and I'll give a couple of things to work on until we have our next lesson. I custom design lessons to fit the needs of each student, but I make sure that each student has a solid foundation from which to build everything else.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance and a Certificate in Acting from American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. I'm still studying the voice as a performer and teacher. I also belong to the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and Voice and Speech Trainers Association as a way to keep up with the latest research and professional development.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've been a performers for many years and started training other performers over 25 years ago. I've recently extended my practice to include public speaking, which I have a real passion for. It seemed like a very natural addition to what I've been doing for a lifetime.
