This is just an initial review, and I will post one again when the remodeling projects are completed. Ryan Dodson has been a pleasure to work with from the outset. He is punctual, responsive, professional, courteous, and above all, trustworthy. Both my dad and I liked him instantly (my dad gave me a "thumb's up" when Ryan left our home the first time after the initial consult). Even though I informed Ryan that we were still in the process of receiving additional bids, he went above and beyond even before he was hired. I work in the legal profession, so we did our due diligence and interviewed several contractors, did the necessary licensing checks, etc., before hiring Ryan. My dad and I look forward to working with Ryan on our kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects. Another review to follow upon completion.

Ryan was great. He installed a back door for us and put in a doggy door also. Originally we ordered ourselves a door from Lowe’s but unfortunately we got the wrong size. Ryan went and got us the correct size door and finished the job beautifully. We will definitely be calling him again.

Satisfied with all of the above. Arrived when he said he would arrive and cost what he said it would cost. Very professional. Did exactly what I requested.

Ryan was right on time for the appointment, went immediately to work and was organized and professional. He went and located the replacement parts at a reasonable price, purchased them and made them fit the 20 year old installation as well as anyone reasonably could. The parts cost was not loaded and the cost to us was parts and the minimum labor quoted only. I actually expected to pay a little more than the minimum given the complexity of the replacement. It was a nice experience. If you need something done right, hire Calstar (Ryan).

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The best advice I can give a homeowner is to hire the most qualified contractor with the fairest price. It seems like we do several jobs every year where a homeowner went with the cheapest bid and/or a unlicensed contractor and we end up having to clean up the mess and start over, costing the homeowner much more then hiring a competent contractor or handyman to start with.
