FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
CREIA the California Real Estate Inspection Association & ASHI the American Society of Home Inspectors require 30 and 20 hours of continuing education annually to maintain an inspectors certification. I typically attend 50-60 hours of education per year. In the last two years some of the classes and seminars I have attended were on, plumbing code changes, electric code changes, green plumbing and building code changes. Inspecting electric panels, structural evaluation of buildings. Roofing inspections and pool and spa inspections. This is the best way to provide my clients with a top flight inspection report.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of inspections we perform are for buyers and sellers of existing single family residences and townhomes and condominiums.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are choosing an inspector to inspect a property, we recommend that you compare qualifications and experience. Professional certifications (ASHI & CREIA), years in the business and number of inspections performed will give you a good idea about the quality of the inspector you choose. You should speak with your inspector directly prior to deciding because effective communication of the inspectors findings is the most important factor. Please check my website for more information.
