I’ve benefited extensively from Tara’s instruction over the last two years. I’m a bass, and primarily sing choral music and classical solo repertoire. Tara has helped me develop rich, full resonance, a vigorous, blended falsetto, and a larger range than I ever thought I’d have. Tara’s emphasis on strengthening and coordinating the different muscle systems of the voice has made me a much more robust and versatile singer. I highly recommend Tara to any singer looking to develop a strong, agile, integrated voice. Beautiful singing isn’t a matter of technique only, but a question of proper athletic training of the vocal muscles and anatomy. Tara delivers the training you need to sing with agility, flexibility, and liberated musical artistry.Jul 1, 2018
She is efficient, motivating and a fresh breath of air. Thank you for improving my singing in 45 minutes!Jun 7, 2016Verified
Tara is, simply put, wonderful. I went in with zero experience in the way of singing. She had me carrying a tune in less than a month! She tailors every lesson to you on the fly, encourages you to draw from your own tastes in music, breaks down lessons in ways that are easy to take on and understand, and (most imporrantly in my mind) she does it all while still being fun to talk to! Lessons have a way of feeling more like hanging out than actual work/practice. I would highly recommend taking lessons from her if you can!Jun 16, 2015Verified
Tara is great. As soon as she heard my voice she was able to tell me what we needed to work on and we got started right away. After one lesson I feel confident in my vocal abilities and am excited to hear the improvements in my voice as I stick to it. Her knowledge of the voice is truly helpful during the learning process because not only are you learning how to sing, you are learning what your voice is doing while you are singing. I highly suggest Tara as an instructor. :)Oct 24, 2013Verified

- What types of customers have you worked with?Get their voices in excellent shape! Help prepare students for performances and auditions. Teach students how their voices work and how to eventually begin to problem solve things themselves. Become a better singer and musician!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?No two voice teachers are alike! Take a lesson from different teachers so you can find the right match for you. Ask questions, even simply "Why?" when a teacher asks you to do something. They should have answers based on truth, on scientifically proven fact. Its important the teacher can answer your questions and the answer means something substantial.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?I have taught at the collegiate level. I currently teach Voice at Ventura College.
