Lourd Viernaliza Castro (L.V) was my day of coordinator for my husband and I wedding day in Berkeley, CA. L.V did an amazing job she was my life saver. All bride-to-be knows how hard is it to plan a wedding and you dedicate all your time and effort and sanity to making your special day an amazing day that will never be forgotten without breaking the bank of course! :) After many hours spent on searching and reviewing reviews and asking around who to hire as a day of coordinator I finally was able to reach out to L.V and I am so so soooo glad that I did. From the very first time that I spoken to L.V she already had me convince. She was so sweet, kind, professional and she was able to work with my Budget. She was very thorough and into details which I love. I felt like she wasn't just there to help me on the big day but even all through out planning. We kept in contact couple of months before the wedding making sure everything was ready and perfect for the big day. We also had her at the rehearsal which went smoothly! I mean as usual people were late etc. but in-spite of any stress that came she never made me feel stressed she was handling it and she did an amazing job doing so. She did such an amazing job with the set-up and decorating and making sure everything is in place. She also designed our Dessert Bar which turned out even better than what I expected just wow!! :) and she would fly from San Diego to the bay area just to make it for the rehearsal I was very impressed, with her dedication and her goal to keep her client happy. Now, the big day as bride-to-be should know. There will be hiccups, not everything will be the way you expected but regardless it'll still be an AMAZING day that you will truly remember for the rest of your life. I could really go on I have alot of nice things to say. But In summary, Hubby and I are very thankful that we had you to help us on our wedding day. I had 4 ladies helping my son's wedding day. Irene and 3 other ladies were very professional and very helpful. Anything can go wrong at the wedding but Irene and her team made our son's wedding soooo smoothly without any problem !!! I definetley would hire her again if we have other event coming in the future. I DEFINETLY RECOMMEND IRENE AND HER TEAM!!!! THEY DID A GREAT JOB!!!

Andrea was so easy to work with throughout the planning process even though I only booked her for the day of. She offered help and suggestion beyond what she was required and it was very obvious that she loves what she does. On the day of, I had very little to stress about regarding the logistics of the big day as I knew that Andrea and her team had it handled. She executed the vision I had for my day beautifully and handled all of the details with ease. We had them cater our Wedding last weekend and they were a godsend. I could go on and on about how wonderful, caring, attentive and friendly they were. While planning they were a great source of advice and guidance. Chef Renee gracefully answered my parents' (numerous) questions basically being our caterer/wedding planner. Most importantly the food was delicious!! The passed hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour were outstanding and everyone complimented the incredible dinner! To top it all off our cake was delicious and beautiful, Did I say delicious!! They also provided friendly and attentive bartenders and waitstaff. Everything was so good, our guests were so happy and full... we are still receiving compliments. The entire team was professional and so attentive and they really set up our tables beautifully! Chef Renee and her team went above and beyond our expectations and really made our day perfect! If you hire them you won't be disappointed!! We can't wait until the occasion comes to use them again!

Rinna was the best investment of my entire wedding. I was the DIY bride who thought I had it all under control. Two weeks before the big day I totally new I could not carry out all the details without a day of coordinator. Rinna was such a blessing. She meet with me twice before the event, finalized my timeline, contacted my vendors, ran my rehearsal, and took care of set up and tear down. Her and her husband were such genuine people it made trusting her with all the details of my big day so easy. She was professional, punctual, and delivered on every level. I really found a miracle when I found Rinna! Thank you is not enough!

We had EventSpell decorate and manage everything for my bridal shower and they did a phenomenal job! I was blown away at how great the tables and centerpieces looked. The wall that was decorated was truly spectacular. It takes someone with a great sense of imagination and design to have transformed the area from an empty dull clubhouse into a Great Gatsby themed shower. I was awestruck by everything because it felt like I was stepping back into time. I could not have asked for a better shower and Ishita did a great job with everything! I would highly recommend her services to anyone planning a party, wedding, shower, etc!

Karen is amazing! Words can't adequately express my appreciation of this wonderful lady. She did so much to make our event a success and to relieve the stress related to hosting a wedding. We hired Karen to be our "coordinator for the day" for our daughter's wedding. Even though the wedding was small (about 60 guests) and in our home, we wanted someone to help so that WE could be guests ourselves and enjoy the wedding. I did quite a bit of research before choosing and I'm so glad that we chose Karen. She has an infectious smile that puts you at ease immediately. She is also extremely professional and knowledgeable. She asked a lot of questions so that she would have a better idea of what we were envisioning. She had great practical ideas that helped with the flow of the event. We felt like we were in really good hands. When Karen arrived on the day of the wedding, she absolutely blew me away! I gave her a quick tour of everything that was happening and she just took it from there. It was like she was family and had been there a million times. She stayed two steps ahead all night and really made the evening stress free. She has a very unique quality in that she can take charge and provide direction in the nicest most nonabrasive way. When she lets guests know that it's time to move out to the patio for cocktails, or that we're ready for a toast, grand entrance, cake cutting etc. everyone listens and no one feels like they are being "bossed around". When guests left, she did so much to help wrap things up that I actually had to tell her to stop. She's so thoughtful. She pays attention to the smallest details and she really listens. I know Karen has done hundreds of events from large and elaborate to small and intimate. No matter what kind of event your planning, Karen will make it better and she will make your life easier! Until I became the bride-to-be I hadn't put much thought into having a wedding coordinator. Luckily a friend of mine could see what stress I was about to be under and offered to get Selina Taylor in contact with me. I'm so glad she did! My fiance and I still wanted to be the "wedding planners" but I needed help bringing it all to that big day. My fiance ended up being deployed for more than half of the time we were engaged and having Selina to call on was a great stress reliever. I detest making phone calls and asking a million questions so Selina offered to do "the grunt work" for me. She listened to my ideas, took impeccable notes whenever I was unprepared for a meeting, and really understood what I wanted. She presented things to me in a way that was not overwhelming, which allowed me to feel comfortable about decisions I was making. Her contacts and suggestions of vendors were great and freed up time for other things. She became a point of contact for my mom and sister as well when I asked for their help with specific things. My biggest worry was how everything was going to come together the day of the wedding if I wasn't there to do it. Selina squashed that fear! When I showed up at the venue I was in awe of everything. It all looked better than I had imagined it. She helped me to pull all of my dreams and visions together and it looked perfect! Selina and I had a wonderful time together for those 8ish months. I am so grateful for everything she did and the friendship we have today

Kimberly put my entire wedding on at the beach in a short time. From the flowers, to the toast, the placing of the cake, and the beach party reception. She is the kindest, most giving wedding planner of all time. She truly cares for all of her brides and makes sure each one has the wedding each had dreamt of their entire lives. I can't speak highly enough of Valentina! She was our wedding day coordinator and I could not have asked for more. Everything went so perfect and so smooth. From the moment I met her, I knew she is someone who strives to perfection. I am myself very detailed oriented and I recognized alike-souls :). She went above and beyond to make sure everything would go smooth, she is very detailed oriented, very fast, and on top of everything. She is also very easy to get along with, flexible, kind, great personality. Being new in town, and not having a huge support system here, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed about the whole wedding planning, and having her onboard was magical, she was an angel! " In planning my wedding, my goal was to find all the perfect details to make my special day one to remember. I had gone through a TON of flower consultations before I talked with Megan about doing my wedding party arrangements. After discussing my vision with her, it was clear that she was on my page with what I was searching for! I really appreciated being able to throw ideas around with her until I found exactly what I wanted through her suggestions. I didn't get any particular style shoved to me like the other florists had done a couple times prior. It was a joy to work with Megan and her staff to make my flower arrangements the most beautiful ever. Every idea that she came up with was so creative and spot on with my fall rustic theme wedding. Megan has such attention to detail and creativity in her design ideas. If it wasn't for her knowledge and passion to make the best creations possible, I wouldn't have found the perfect look for my wedding. I absolutely LOVED every piece that she made for my wedding party. From the bridesmaids gorgeous orange daisy bouquets to my beautiful white and orange bridal bouquet, and all the men (especially my husband) looks sharp with their boutonnieres. Hands down the BEST experience I've ever had, and so many amazing shots were captured of these lovely arrangements. My wedding day was perfect! We hired Ashley as a day-of planner for a medium sized wedding of 115 guests with several vendors to coordinate. We were so glad we did too. Ashley did a great job coordinating the vendors during our wedding day. She was able to pickup where we left off and fill in where we might have had gaps. I didn’t want a planner and to anyone sitting on the fence about this decision- get a planner and hire Ashley. I couldn’t be happier with how smoothly the day went and how Ashley managed the event.

Rebecca was my wedding planner back in 2011 and I have to say she was hands down amazing. Friendly, professional, welcoming, organized and dedicated. I gave her my vision, my color scheme, and budget and while sticking with the budget she was able to capture everything I asked and dreamed of. The day of the wedding went smoothly, we had rain but she didn't let anything stop her from setting up. Then, one hour prior to my wedding I fell and needed stitches, she rushed me to urgent care and had me in and out within 45 minutes. My wedding only started 15 minutes late and I know if it wasn't for her taking me and making sure I was taken care of right away, my wedding wouldn't have happened. I let Samantha know from the start, I have no dance tallent. 6 lessons later, I was able to dance with my wife at our wedding and looked like I had been doing it for years. She is very patient and full of creative ideas. We first met and she gave us an outline of options and fees. She did not stray from her fees and showed a true ability to teach. What does a wedding event coordinator do?

Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

  • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
  • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.

How much does it cost for a wedding planner?

Wedding planning is a full-time job — unless you hire a professional to handle the hard work for you. The cost for a wedding planner will depend on the level of service you desire. The least expensive wedding planner option is day-of coordination, then partial service, then full-service.  

The national average cost for wedding planning is between $990 and $1,300. Costs are greatly affected by region, with rural or smaller-town wedding planners often far more affordable than planners in higher-cost cities. Here are some examples of the various levels of wedding planning and their potential average costs:

  • Day-of-wedding coordination: $800-$1,700. Day-of services can include the planner finalizing all details, creating a timeline, confirming vendors and overseeing all setup, day-of activities, and cleanup. The couple does all the front-end planning and contracts all the vendors. Time commitment could be about 15-25 hours, depending on pricing.
  • Partial service: $1,500-$3,800. Here the planner works with the couple from the beginning, helping contract vendors, creating a timeline, and overseeing all details of day-of execution. Time commitment could be about 30-60 hours, depending on package and pricing.
  • Full service: $3,500-$8,000 or more. Here the professional handles all wedding and planning details including working on design, securing rentals, getting the venue and vendors, and handling complete execution of the event. Time commitment could be 50-150 hours or more, depending on package and pricing.
  • Consulting: $50-$150 per hour for design, vendor, reception and other wedding planning consultation.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200.
