FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I keep up with what other photographers are doing via blogs, Web sites, print and online magazines and whatnot. I'm also a former trade association member, so I get the free magazines for pro-level photographers, which are good resources for what is being used to create images these days. I can easily see that technology is changing and we're already at the point where consumer cameras and apps make the images very professional-looking. Still, you can't replace the idea that someone is responsible for capturing everything and then delivering it to you. It's what we get paid for.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been shooting since I was 12 years old, so it was only natural that I do this for a part-time endeavor (really, I'm a technology journalist by day...).
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Shoot, shoot and shoot some more. I don't quit until you tell me you're tired of me in your face.
