We had a disaster staining job that Greg rescued. Our prior stainer had talked a big game but couldn't deliver. Greg & his team worked through our inconvenient schedule and did such a good job with the staining that we also hired him for painting. I have a neighbor who was so impressed that he wants Greg to quote on a whole job...inside & out. I really appreciated the fact that Greg did the finishing touches himself. He didn't just send one of his guys to finish & pick up the final check. We will have more work for him in the future & hope you do as well. Oh yeah....Greg & his team all spoke English so there was no communication barrier or talking behind the homeowner's back in Spanish.

Ron did a wonderful job!!! I had a wooden porch in the backyard that was falling apart. Ron replaced it with a composite decking and metal railing. He made an effort to lower the cost of the project. The new porch looks amazing! I strongly recommend him!

Kevin Ghazarian worked with me on a variety of prominent projects at my home. In all aspects from budgeting, design, planning and organization of the construction schedule, he was a tremendous asset. On each home improvement he displayed exceptional qualities of creative-problem solving, fortitude as a leader and task-master and attention to detail in design and craftsmanship. I am very pleased on how well the projects turned out, which is due largely to his professional contributions. Highlights of projects are described as follows: 1. Interior painting of several rooms and kitchen. The design motif was a traditional Tuscani color scheme. The original and uniquely beautiful architectural elements such as the curved kitchen cabinets, wordolf walls, crown mouldings, bay windows and fire place mantel pieces were individually painted separate colors. This was challenging in its multi color design and tedious attention to painting the details. In two rooms alone there were 15 different colors used, all of which had to be the perfect color and hue. 2. Installation of wood floors. A beautiful distressed antique wood flooring was installed in the kitchen, pantry, bathroom and large family room. This involved subfloor demolition, removal and replacement, and the detailed installation of wood flooring and moulding. The hard, back breaking work required a number of workers managed by Kevin. As a result, the work flow was systematically optimized and “driven” until the project’s completion. Kevin was a relentless task master and has many skills as a talented worker. 3. Electrical rewiring of bathroom and hallway. The old wiring was faulty and insufficient and new wiring was pulled and replaced. All ceiling light fixtures, electrical outlets and switches were chosen and installed. A 3 way switch system was a necessity and was devised quickly and installed correctly to code by Kevin. This all required the knowledge and skill of a trained electrician. 4. Construction of exterior deck. This project involved much post production planning and design. “Trek” decking materials, sub deck foundations, metal piers, treated lumber of all sizes, and all the special screws and bolts needed to be estimated and purchased for this large construction project. Unlike a simple rectangular shape, this deck was complex in design with multiple angles, levels and steps. Cutting perfect angles and lengths of Trek decking were a necessity in order for this deck to turn out as provocative and beautiful as it did.

Dan and his team did a great job building and installing 2 new gates and refinishing the back deck. Dan showed up on time, took charge and finished all projects including clean up in a timely manner. I was very satisfied with the jobs he completed, would hire him again and his quote for the work was reasonable!

Hired Jose to sand and refinish outdoor deck. He did a great job. He worked on it all day to make sure it was completely sanded down, cleaned and water sealed. Jose was reliable and was good at communicating with us. We would hire him back for other projects.

Sam is a very hard worker. He stained my very old wood floors and they turned out beautifully. It took him longer than expected, but he did keep working at it until I was satisfied. He also did excellent electrical work!

Received inconsistent recommendations from five contractors on the best way to treat my unfinished interior concrete floor. I went with Antonio on the basis of his depth of knowledge, experience, and friendliness. Antonio was actively involved with his team and transformed the floors from grimy and stained to clean, polished, and spotless. He also did it very quickly. In the days since completion I have received a number of compliments from guests.. Will need to add photos. Thank you Antonio!

George was amazing! Found him right here on Thumbtack and he was exactly what all the reviews claimed and more! He was honest, fair, hard working and an overall great guy. Even the kids and my dog loonies forward to seeing him every day. We originally hired him to paint our kitchen cabinets and loved him so we added on the tremendous job of painting our entire outside deck! Both jobs came out great! We are super happy and would have him back any time. Thank you GEORGE for everything😊

Thank you, Dave and Design Plus, for installing new indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures. The new deck you built is GORGEOUS and we use it every night for drinks and to watch the sunset. The natural stone pathway that you created from the deck to the pool is elegant. You did everything you said you would, were on time and in budget. And you were right, the resin pebble pathway is lovely to walk on in bare feet. Thanks again!

George and his team did a great job on our new deck and we're very happy. I highly recommend Garcia Designs. Where they lost one star was underestimating materials after an agreed upon change to materials, and a misunderstanding of how one finishing detail was to completed, but nothing major.

I had him come to remove a ceiling fan and install a new ceiling fan and wall switch. Because did such a nice job, I had him remove and install two bath faucets one of which needed more repair than I thought. He also repaired my tub faucet which I knew needed lots of work. If I need anymore repairs, I will definitely call him.

Working with Microresorts was a true pleasure. We were extremely lucky to find Elder through an old real estate agent and we couldn’t have been happier. Microresorts built 2 decks, concrete walls, a firepit, a fence with gates, and beautiful planters and also put in 2 irrigation systems, a drainage system, many plants, and a gas line to our firepit and grill. He also installed our hot tub including electrical. He also threw in some extra items that we didn’t expect which we needed to get done at some point. Before we even signed a contract, Elder drew up plans and showed us his fantastic ideas for our outdoor space. He put a lot of work into the plans and it was clear that his vision matched ours. His workers were considerate to our neighbors. Elder met all of our immediate neighbors and game them his contact info. He told our neighbors to call him if there were any issues. When the workers showed up at 9:30am on a Saturday, one of the neighbors complained (even though this was much later than the 8am that the local ordinance allows). Elder had the workers come even later on Saturday to accommodate our neighbor. The work was professionally done and looks amazing. Everyone who sees our space is astonished at the design and finishing work. Although the work took a little longer than the original estimate due to rain, it was completed as quickly as possible. It was well managed and there were no significant delays or problems. Elder dealt with us with respect even though we did change our minds on a couple of details after work started. He didn’t increase the price when we made changes even though we knew it would be a little more expensive for him (and we were willing to pay more). The hardscape is solid and we are not worried about maintenance anytime soon. We wanted a low maintenance house and he gave that to us. Overall, I can definitely say that we are extremely happy with Elder Jerez and Microresorts. We would definitely hire them again if we had any more work to do. Choosing Elder and Microresorts was an excellent decision and we recommend him highly.

Dan did a kitchen, bathroom, and hardwood floor restoration job on my 1928 Spanish Revival home. This project entailed replacing old linoleum kitchen counters w/beautiful granite; demoing my bathroom due to water damage and replacing and re-enforcing the floor, installing a new bathtub, bathroom counters, ceiling vent, some plumbing and painting. The floors look amazing! They are now safe, sturdy, and replaced with beautiful unique porcelain sheets! Dan also re-tiled the shower area with detailed individualized tiling that compliments the flooring. The bathroom counter area was enlarged for more space and storage and then a beautiful white quartz counter installed. He was also able to sand, stain, and re-finish the floors. I'm not sure how, but he was able to replace the damaged wood to match the original 1928 wood flooring. It looks seamless! That was a feat in itself. Dan has gone on to complete several other projects at my home, including replacing and re-wiring the entire house, thus bringing it up to code. Thanks Dan for your hard work and dedication to this project. I can't wait until our next project. ~K.R.James

I am so thrilled with the results of the project that Robert did for me. His attention to detail is impeccable, and it's very rare to find people with that level of artistry and professionalism these days. I hired him to stain my deck, but he made sure everything was done to absolute perfection. It's like I have a brand new deck!

We used O'Reilly Painting to paint two homes for us: a 1200sq foot condo in 2006 and a 2800sq ft house plus large deck in 2015. We could not have been happier with either job. Nigel is professional, patient, and helpful (he was great about giving advice on colors, accent walls, etc). He reasonably prices his services and does the job quickly. And most importantly, the walls and deck look great!

Eddie was a true professional. His goal was to make sure my deck looked amazing. He was as invested in this project as I was. He gave a fair price and I am every bit happy with the completed product. He and his team cleaned, sanded, stained, and sealed my deck. I highly recommend him as he is genuine, kind, punctual, and professional. Thanks Eddie!

Scott Nason is the only Handyman that I will ever use.  He painted four rooms.  He repaired my fence and low voltage landscape lighting.  He fixed a bad case of dry rot in my exterior doors and exterior window frame and trim and fixed a major dry rot situation in my laundry room after installing a new water heater. He removed decades-old oil stains in my carport then refinished the concrete to match the exterior of my home.  He put up extra shelving in my storage shed and laundry room.  In a bathroom he removed and replaced tiles so the plumber could access the fixture that was being replaced and then put in a new sink and faucet, tiled the countertop in marble, slate and ascents, then put in a new mirror and lighting fixture.  He fixed the oven fan.  In the summer I plan to have him paint my exterior wood trim.  He has a large number of “before” and “after” pictures and you should look at them.  He is a perfectionist and is not satisfied until the finished look is perfect.  I would be fine if the work looked “just OK” and not perfect.  The cost of his repair of the dry rot in my doors and windows was much less than replacing the doors and windows.
