Deborah Denio of Realign Fitness is an extremely competent and compassionate Physical Therapist who helped me rapidly recover from a severe back issue. Upon my recovery four years ago, she recommended that I begin a program of exercise and good eating habits. As a result, Deborah has also been my fitness trainer throughout this time. I initially lost over 30 lbs., gained muscle mass and tone, and have kept the weight off. I highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of Physical Therapy work, or as a general health and fitness trainer. I tell my friends that Deborah made my weight loss and general fitness improvements relatively effortless. She skillfully and cheerfully leads me through each workout session and I have fun in the process.

"Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. The purpose of this modality is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. All of this will be done through slow strokes of elbows, and knuckles and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fiber's of the muscles, tendons and fascia. It is vital to communicate your feelings of pressure during session. Be aware that it is absolutely normal to feel mildly bruised or soar for the first 1-3 days due to lactic acid being flushed out of congested tissues, that is why it is important to ingest a lot of water to help eliminate toxins from body and to keep self-hydrated; it is a form of detox. Also do 30 min. sessions. $35 Affordable for anyone. Duration: 1 hour Prenatal Massage [$60] Special [$55] Complementary therapeutic massage for the expectant mother. During massage, Swedish massage is mainly utilized because of hormonal shifts, physical and emotional disturbances, the body needs tender care, and Swedish Massage is made for that, it addresses discomfort troubled areas, and applies therapy approaches through varying techniques. Its objective is to relax muscles tension and improve lymphatic and blood circulation. Sports massage therapy is to help alleviate the stress and tension, and helps to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, and to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries by focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. Sports massage can be aimed to help heal strained muscles and allow healthy ones to reach peak performance and maintain it while minimizing the risk of injury. Techniques are customized depending on the needs of the athlete, each type of sport has different demands, and each sport uses muscle groups in a different way. Duration: 1 hour Chair Massage $1 per min. Modality for people who are busy, people who are constantly moving from one place to another; it is also convenient for you if you work at an office. Focuses on muscles, tendons and fascia. Foot massage promotes relaxation, improves circulation, reduces pain, soothes from exhaustion day, and encourages overall health and triggers the response for the healing process. 30 min. sessions only. Reflexology [$25] The theory behind Reflexology is that there are reflex points on hands and feet that correspond to all the parts of the entire body, including bones, muscles, organs, tissues, and glands. By stimulating these reflex points with thumb and fingers via massage techniques, different healing benefits can be felt throughout the body, pressure is applied to clear out congestion and restore normal functioning; reflexology does help relieve pain associated with migraine, sinus problems, breathing disorders, digestive problems, circulatory problems, back problems, tension, and stress. It is considered to be a deeply relaxing and therapeutic modality. Reflexology is a holistic healing technique that aims to treat the individual as a whole, in order to induce a state of balance in body, mind, and spirit. 30 min. sessions only. Shiatsu [$25] Shiatsu is a Japanese style of bodywork, literally meaning finger pressure. It is a system of healing and health maintenance based on your body’s natural energy, called Qi (in Japanese) or Chi (in Chinese). This energy runs all over our bodies in pathways called meridians. The meridians run through the organs, thus affecting one’s physiology, as well as oversee the emotional and psychological aspects of our beings. Benefits of Shiatsu are for nourishing organ systems as well as eliminating patterns that have taken hold in the body over the years due to stress, illness, and physical or emotional trauma. These patterns can be the underlying source of ailments in the body. Simply by applying moderate pressure to and stretching the meridians, it facilitates the free flow of Qi (energy), hence promoting health and relaxation. 30 min. sessions only. Acupressure [$25] Acupressure is an ancient healing art derived from Chinese technique based on the principles of acupuncture, and involves the use of finger pressure (without the needles) on specific points along the body. Transformational system of touch that promotes healing, vitality and relieve emotional stress. Acupressure is a way of accessing and releasing blocked or congested energy centers in the body. It is believed the points to be junctures of meridian pathways that carry energy called chi. Acupressure massage therapy stimulates and activates the body’s own energies to prevent illness and restore harmony. 30 min. sessions only.
