I would not recommend this company if you were misled by the minimize landfill and donate items to charity concept as I was told twice. I made sure before I set a date. . That was my goal. My furniture was worthy of homes who need it .Not damaged goods. They marched mud into my home. Then they took apart a beautiful oak rolltop desk. They took apart a oak roll top desk into two pieces. I was in the room next door. I heard drawers crashing to the floor over and over. When they did move that half out of the room, they bashed my walls and damaged the plaster. Then they made it out the front door and I heard a crash. They dropped the lower half, piece, they were carrying and it shattered into pieces. They left the huge heavy upper half in my hallway (which I can't move). This piece is unuseable.I called them on this, and they were not apologetic The lead said we remove junk. I explained that I was told and the ad said donate worthy furniture to the Good Will or Salvation Army. Rudely he said "Lady, your furniture is JUNK now!!. We dump most of it at the dump. We reservve the right to refuse your business!".So he closed the truck, drove off, leaving me with a house of furniture , shreds of wood and screws nails in my walkway, and a bashed bedroom wall, and the top heavy half in a dangerous place, that I can't move. On top of that, I received a bill for 2/3 of a truck, and I never had any furniture removed.I would never recommend this company if you believed the ad as I did, that they make an effort to locate furniture to charities.They do not. Basically they mislead the customer, and treated the customer and the products as junk!.

    Customers can book an appointment with us either online or by calling us at 1-800-GOT-JUNK. We'll come to your location at the appointment time and take a look at what you want to get rid of. Then we’ll give you a price estimate and let you choose to proceed. Once you’ve agreed to the price, we’ll get to work! We do all the heavy lifting—you won’t have to lift a finger. We’ll even sweep up after we’re done!

    1-800-GOT-JUNK? began in 1989, when college student Brian Scudamore encountered a tight summer job market in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada. After seeing an old, junk-hauling truck rumbling along a McDonald’s drive-thru, he was inspired to start his own business. What began as a means to pay for college quickly turned into a unique business - a franchise of professional junk removal. Brian eventually changed the company name to 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, invested in more trucks, hired great people, and set a goal to build a brand that would become a household name. Since 1998, the company has grown to approximately 200 locations across three countries.
