Paul has been great to work with, he's flexible, and knowledgeable on what works best for our son. Plus our lessons are in the comfort of our home! He always communicates with us on how our son is doing and if he needs to practice more, so he can show improvement on learning notes. Paul also purchased a bass guitar so he can work with our son on learning the bass as well. I also asked if he can help us shop and pick out a reasonable amp and he agreed to help out and suggested a few places to shop at. Working with Paul has made this experience easy as I was worried of finding a good fit for our son. I would recommend Paul to anyone and you can't beat his rate!
We found Sid on Thumbtack and he has been giving guitar lessons to myself and my two kids for last 18 months. He is super great with the kids and an awesome teacher. Would highly recommend.
Brandon was fantastic! He was 15 minutes early, was able to teach me about theory, composition, walking bass lines, jazz, pop, funk any style I needed. He was really patient on my learning process and gave me a bunch of awesome tip on each thing we worked on. Highly recommended if you want a heavy cat from LA!
Best music lessons around! James is so patient and positive in a warm environment and is VERY talented with what he does. He has his own system for teaching his students at any age. I highly would recommend Peaceland Music for guitar, bass, drums and piano! You go in for a lesson and always leave feeling inspired. 😎✌️
I have been playing guitar for more than 10 years. Decided to go back to lesson again. He is a guy who listen to your concern and apply his knowledge to help you improve. Coming up with his own lesson.. going over the material in a pace where I can follow through.
Michael, from my first lesson was so attentive to what I wanted to learn. Kind of in passing, I told him that I loved to sing but was afraid to so he really coaxed me to sing along to all the guitar songs I was learning (I really do not think that any other guitar teacher would have bothered...like "not my job". But, not Michael, he took that on as his job because he recognized that it was important to me). Likewise, when I would show an interest in a particular type of music (i.e. I like acoustic and more mellow, verging on country even), he found songs like that for me and he taught me my songs I had picked even though I doubt that they would have been his picks. In summary, he wanted me to relate to and enjoy the music; the lessons are all about what I want to get out of them...with professional guidance along the way as well. The other thing I want to definitely mention is that, Michael is top-knotch, professional and KNOWS music. He encouraged me to not only learn songs to play but to understand the theory of the music in those songs. I feel very proficient in music theory after taking classes with Michael. I not only play the stuff but I "get it." I understand the technical theory involved. I really think that this is something not every guitar teacher brings to the table or encourages. Many just do not know it! With Michael, we can move from guitar to piano so that he can illustrate something about chords in a key or the difference between major, minor, dominant and diminished chords. Bottom line, I have fun during my lesson but I learn so much more than memorizing chord shapes on the guitar. And, when I play and sing a song...well, it really feels great! Honestly, he is the BEST! He just cares so much about you learning all you can regarding music and he knows how to teach it so that you get to understand what can at first seem so unfamiliar. Michael has the holistic approach. He makes music familiar, logical, relatable and, most of all, Enjoyable. As his student, thumbs-up!
Beginner electric bass guitar lessons, 1 hour per week, at Rancho Canyon Music. I have been taking lessons with Lou for two months. Lou is an experienced, knowledgeable, and patient instructor. Additionally, he is personable and has a good sense of humor which makes the lessons fun. Lou finds ways to easily relate a theory or technique to you in everyday terms. He is a formally trained musician who performs regularly for audiences. His training and regular performing, coupled with his teaching techniques makes him my first choice for music instruction. Lou arrives on time and is ready begin working with you, evidence he values your time as well. Lou goes above and beyond for his students by providing in class resources, useful online content, and instructional online videos. All of which I have found helpful and not readily found in other music instructors. Lou can quickly analyze what is happening and provide you with helpful input to help you understand and improve. It is clear to me Lou understands the teaching process. He explains things in a logical order, using building blocks of learning. I would highly recommend Lou to all of my family and friends. An hour lesson is filled with easily digestible information and practical application. My understanding and enjoyment of playing my bass guitar has been energized working with Lou.
Omar was a great teacher who made each lesson challenging but fun at the same time. I learned a lot from him in a short time about finger picking and chord progressions, and he introduced me to a lot of perfect songs to learn on guitar that I wouldn't have known otherwise.
I was looking for a guitar teacher and after years of trying to play my guitar I bought in the early 80s I tried so hard to teach myself, and after months of looking at all kinds of self-help books, and the internet I got stuck, just like all the countless millions out there and gave up! I wasnt getting any younger, so I dusted off my guitar again in 2014 and sent out to find a teacher I started searching a few web sites for teachers, I even had a chance to interviewed a few over the phone. The last person I called was Damien. As we talked I knew right then after our long conversation he was the right person to teach me guitar. He took on this 59 year old who has a passion to learn, without very little prior knowledge of a guitar. Now 60 Ive learned so much after my 5th month and Im so grateful Damien took me on! He has a ton of patiences, hes a wonderful person and one heck of a guitar player!!! For all of you who want to learn how to play a guitar, or you know of someone whos interested, I highly recommend Damien, a guy who knows his way around a guitar, a bass, a piano and even the drums. So what do you have to loose, stop wishing about playing that guitar, and start learning how to play a guitar! Damien Smith, great guy, great teacher Rock On! Les G
If you want serious bass lessons, Kellen will give them to you. He's a very pleasant guy to be around, but I'm very focused on becoming a good bass player and improving quickly. Kellen is right there with me, motivating me and challenging me to improve. This is what I was looking for in a teacher, someone that helps me accelerate as fast as possible.
Kevin is the best guitar teacher out there who gave me the tools I needed to go on to be a Music Major. He works with your goals as a starting or experienced musician and explains and helps with everything so well. He goes out of his way and really made guitar lessons a highlight of my day. HIGHLY recommended!
He’s doing an amazing job with my daughter teaching her guitar
At the age of 9 my son Julian started to take group guitar lessons from Pat. After that session I ask Pat if he does private lessons, he said yes but its at La Puente. So from Chino Hills I took my son to La Puente every Saturday for the next 5 years. He is very good with kids and I highly recommend him. My son now 18 enjoys writing songs & performing.
Ivan is great... I've just had two lessons and am definitely continuing on!. I've never picked up a guitar, ever and am a complete novice adult. He's extremely patient, and has a thorough and complete knowledge of every aspect of the guitar. He guides you through (albeit clumsy attempts on my part) every aspect of playing, and spends time with you revisiting each chord until it rings out clear. I would highly recommend him on all levels!
Really glad I discovered this site. Without it, I wouldn't have discovered Dave. He's a real down to Earth kind of guy with an excellent background in bass and adaptable teaching styles for any level of student!
This may sound Grandiose, But Vic Grady changed my Son's life forever, in a good way. Vic took my son from no experience with the guitar to what as a Biased Parent's review would be a virtuoso on both the Guitar and then the Bass Guitar. He taught my son the basics and progressed to "Jamming" techniques as well as how to play the Bass Lines from the written music for Both Rock and Jazz.
Jason is awesome. It started out with my daughter taking lessons from him, now it's both of us. First of all, my daughter Lauren is 5 years old. 5. Literally just started Kindergarten. She can't read - but she can do a power chord. That's all due to Jason's help. It takes serious patience to teach a five year old how to play guitar. Not just patience... but Jason is a pleasure to have in our home. He's great with my daughter. And... great at teaching an adult too. I've only been playing guitar for a few months, but people think I've been at it a while.
My son Josh has been taking guitar lessons from Mike for the past four years. Not only has Josh consistently improved, but he has enjoyed his lessons with Mike, looking forward to the time he spends with him every week, whether it is in person or via Skype. Mike's easy going manner, expert teaching knowledge and musical skill on the guitar combine to make him an excellent guitar teacher. He has the fine ability to challenge Josh while keeping him interested and meeting him where he is at musically. I highly recommend Mike as a guitar teacher, having referred several friends to Mike in the past, and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!
I meet him at his little studio for about half hour, went over my goals I had as a bass player no Charge. Im a 50 year old man who's been tring to learn bass. Have lots of books and computer aids like songster,Ultimate guitar pro,ect.. . He found my main weekness and started to work on it. In 4 weeks i have learned more than i have in 3 years. His lessons are fun and very informative. Highly recommend Evan Chudnow very professional. If you want to learn bass you need a teacher, books alone and computer aids don't cut it. I should have gotten myself a teacher 3 years ago instead of spend money on books and computer aid. There no substitution like having a good teacher and having the satisfaction of seeing Progress in such a short time. Thanks Evan !!
I have been with Bella Music Studios for five years now, and cannot begin to describe what a wonderful experience I've had with everyone there. I've been with various studios and teachers and theater troupes before, and none of them have felt more like a legitimate family than Bella Music Studios. The owner, Jo Ann Maddalena, is the kindest person you could ever hope to meet. She wrote me a beautiful reference letter when I applied (and got into) a performing arts school in Hollywood. I've had two different vocal teachers there (April Orchard and Jean Carlos Lopez) and both of them were patient and talented and made me a better performer than I ever was before. I've had such a wonderful experience at Bella that Jo Ann recently decided I was ready to try teaching voice there myself! I'm still new to it, but I've had one client there, and it's been so rewarding. I practically lived at Bella Music Studios for three summers, and it's like a second home by now. I was in three shows with their theater troupe, and they were all professional level performances that I had so much fun doing. Bella Music Studios is a fantastic place, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality, well-priced music lessons of any kind for any age. Whether you're looking for voice, piano, guitar, trumpet, etc. you're getting the best of the best here.
I took bass lessons from Fionn in 2016, during which time he also taught me about music theory and how to read music. Fionn was a very patient and talented teacher, I would highly recommend lessons with him.
