I do not recommend this contractor. I have managed the construction and renovation on my house before. This one is by far the worse. I hired him to remove and level my slightly sloped lawn and pour stamped concrete with a pony wall. I selected him because he owns his company and does the work himself so I could skip the middleman. I have also seen his works done at my friends house that seems to fit my needs. In addition, his price is lower than other two bids and he can complete the project in 8 days compared others that have offered 15 days. My friend has warned me that he is very sneaky and will charge you quite a bit if you decided to change anything. Well, I figured if I had a solid plan and clearly indicated in the contract, it shouldn't be a problem. It turned out that he was a scam artist. Even we had a contract, he came up with many excuses for delay, change the material to a cheaper ones; and the one that he could not convince you to change such as my custom ordered cap stone, he charged $300 more to order the curve stone even though I has said curved stone on the contract. If I am not willing to pay the extra, he would have to use straight stones and had many cuts to achieve the curve I wanted. For items that he switched to the cheaper ones, he did not give me credit for such as the lights and stamp concrete pattern that he did not have and it would cost him more to rent. He supposed to hire a sub to sandblast my old patio for $500 that was included in the contract, but he called me last minutes and said I had to find one myself or the project would be further delayed. I found one that charged $650 and he would only credit me for $500. My project supposed to last 8 days. It lasted more than two months from the day he said he supposed to start. His excuse was his uncle was sick in NY so he had to take a week off. Then he had to special order the material I have requested which he supposed to order before work start. After several weeks of delay, the order came with the wrong size. He blamed it on the supplier. The reorder took 2 more weeks and then it took him another week to come. I had to call him pretty much every day to find out when he could complete my project. Beside expanding my current patio, I wanted to stain my old one and have a pony wall with pre-casted cap stones. I should have know that he is not capable of doing anything other than pouring concrete. He is not capable to installing the cap stones and staining the concrete. The work was sloppy with unsightly cuts despite the custom order. For the stain, he under estimated the quantity needed and must stop in the middle and waited a few days to find additional materials. By then the color has changed and did not flow well. It had some ugly patches. I could have paused the project and sued him for breach of contract but doing so would give me so much stress and faced the messy yard for a long time. Therefore I just hang in there and get it over with. It has been a very long and unpleasant experience. Please do yourself a favor, hire someone else.

Well what can I say about this customer with out disrespecting her, she had many changes the 1st day. She expected the price to remain the same, and expected me to finish on time. I went above and beyond to keep her happy, I just don't know how her awesome husband stays around. I guess its cheaper to keep em. His exact words!!!!! Not to make a long story longer she made lots of changes and decided to add more items with out me charging her, if i was not good her friend would not recommended me. In construction we have unforeseen problems. If she had any experience she would know i did my best to complete her job with all the changes she made and all the free labor i did for her. "Please do yourself a favor, don't expect something for nothing.

Extremely happy with the work done. Our backyard was a mess before with ugly concrete slab, and block wall. They did an amazing job tearing it all down clean and quickly. The new cement looks awesome, and our backyard completely changed. They went above and beyond what we expected. Too bad our pool is failry new. We will be calling them back once we are ready to redo the pool.
