Thanh made time to come and check out my leaky roof early one morning before the rain started. Although he didn't find the problem that another worker had told me about, he was able to lay plastic on the roof as a temporary fix. The rains came as scheduled but there was no leakage into my garage. Nice work.
Jerome did a wonderful job installing the closet system in my master bedroom. He had all the tools to cut the materials to fit. He also installed 2 saf racks in my garage. My garage is small so I thought only 1 would fit but he was able to fit both 4 x 8 racks in securely. I will hire him again for any other installation projects and will be recommending him to my friends and neighbors.

Lisa is amazing - she is not only extremely great at home organization and design, but is also a fun person to hang out with. My apartment is in a completely new vibe now after working with her, and I’m extremely happy with it. Because I’m usually busy with work, I gave her access to my apartment as well as my credit card, and she would just come by and get necessary items and organize / design my place (she even brought in plants and it was beautiful!) Lisa is definitely trustworthy and I really enjoyed having her!
Marv helped me clean up/organize my garage/play area and toys throughout my house. She was able to sort through the toys and kids stuff laying around really quickly with little direction. I hired Arash Ghiasi to help me both with interior design ideas, and with the management and organization of the whole project. I am sure I will follow up with another review while the project is over, but there is a lot I can say even at this initial stage of the project. If you are looking for someone enthusiastic, inspired and inspiring, energetic and very knowledgeable, Arash is the interior designer you are looking for. He has already helped us a lot with space organization and colour selection, and the overall image of our space. As an artist (a painter) myself, I know quite a deal about color, and I can tell you -- Arash knows what he is doing when he chooses or suggests colors, and he has this rare ability to "synchronize" his thinking with your own feelings and ideas, which is is absolutely essential for an interior designer. The whole process was smooth, quick, and inspiring. As for the space organization, he offered us a solution for an area we've been struggling with for years. And it had a hallmark of all excellent design solutions: it felt completely right and (kind of) obvious when he suggested it. How could we not find it ourselves??? But the truth is, we didn't -- even though a lot of thinking went into it. All in all, we are very impressed with his work, his ideas, and his energy. I would recommend him to any friend who is looking for an interior designer.
Gayle and her daughter, Sara have worked with me on a few projects over the years. They were always prompt, courteous, efficient and oh soooo helpful. The largest project Gayle helped me with was our two car garage. It was filled with 20 years worth of accumulation. Things accumulated by my family and even some of my neighbor's things I was storing. We were able to gently sort through everything, stuff easy to donate or toss and emotionally laden mementos that were much harder to decide to keep or get rid of. We had keep, trash, donate and sell piles. We carefully boxed and organized the keep items in a way that makes my garage an efficient storage area for me with easy access to items I use on a less than regular basis, like my once a year camping equipment and my large crowd holiday dishes and serving pieces, as well as our bikes, tools, suitcases, etc. Gayle helped me have the courage to gently tell my neighbor's daughter that I no longer had the space to store her late mother's boxes and I needed her to come collect them. Sarah helped me with light housecleaning and organizing of my medical and wound care supplies after my recent surgery. I highly recommend Chapin and Daughter for your organizing and personal assistant needs. They were gentle yet effective in helping me get rid of some things I really didn't need to hang on to, yet helped me to feel ok about keeping important mementos and showed me how to keep them safe, secure, and preserved but not cluttering my house.

Dina is great to deal with. She sent two of her organizers over to deal with my garage one day then just the lead organizer over to my old house to clean out there 2 days later. The first day, they sorted out the junk from the keepers in no time and even hauled all the donations away. They were very professional and efficient. They were always keeping track of the clock and very respectful of the time frame. I had to go to my old house and clean out the garage there as well, and she was able to get me one of the same organizers to lead my crew to get that garage under control as well. My only criticism would be that its a little expensive to pay 2 organizers the same rate in order to get the job done, especially since only one can lead, the other then ends up being mostly an expensive manual laborer. The first day I worked with her 2 organizers, it was definitely a productive day! They even managed to squeeze in making my office look presentable! However, for the 2nd garage I brought 3 of our workers to assist the lead organizer and felt it was a better use of money. For about the same cost, I had 3 people to do the heavy lifting and got things done even faster. If you have access to a handyman or a few guys willing to do manual labor, definitely get them to help with one of Dina's organizers if you have a big job like a garage cleanout. She clearly has high standards for who works with her. I plan to use her services again in the next week and possibly on an ongoing basis!

I currently live and work in Los Angeles and am extremely busy. I wanted a designer who would make my house a home. Elda came to me with specialized skills, was extremely creative and has excellent communication. Her good artistic eye and knowledge about complementary colors, fabrics and finishes etc. was spot on. She is highly organized, managed the budget with accuracy and made miracles happen. What I liked most was her confidence and professionalism. I will definitely be using her again and referring her to others!

My kitchen was in major need of a decluttering and organizing overhaul. My cabinets were overflowing with pantry items, too many dishes/glasses, bakeware and mismatched tupperware. I couldn't find anything I needed and items were spilling out of shelves. Design and Order came to my rescue! I was given a consultation first to discuss my needs and concerns and then of course, a game plan. LeiLani helped me go through every single cabinet and not once did I feel overwhelmed. She was very calm and patient through a process that I should have felt frazzled by. Not only did I weed out all of the things I didn't need, but I was able to donate a lot of my items. I felt very good about a lot of the decisions I made while cleaning out and reorganizing my kitchen. She made the process smooth and simple for me. I felt relieved when I saw the end product of my kitchen and was so happy with all the organization and new space! LeiLani even gave me tips on how to keep my kitchen from getting cluttered again and a few recommendations on other projects in my house. For some time, my husband and I were feeling like weren’t getting the best out of the limited space in our small, but charming home. Then I met Deborah, and I’m so glad I did! We were initially drawn to her services for the feng shui aspect of it, and set up a meeting with her so that she could investigate our setup and create a plan for us. The first meeting was wonderful! She told us a lot about the way things were set up, what the spaces meant and how to characterize them. Deborah gave us a few ideas of her own, along with things for us to think about to report to her. We told her parts of our life that we struggled with, and things that stressed us out. Things that we wanted to change. She used her knowledge and our feedback to come up with some plans. When she came back, she had compiled the information to create some wonderful ideas! Not only did she make changes with large items in our home, she also made subtle changes that truly enhanced the feeling of our home. Additionally, she realized we had a need for organization that we hadn’t realized and helped us (especially my husband) become much more organized with all of his belongings. Deborah made a very positive difference in our home and our lives, and we’re so thankful for her guidance and expertise. We plan to complete the action items that she set forth for us, and then to have her return to help us continue down this path! Thanks Deborah!!
