Most common type of hard drive data recovery jobs are accidentally format or corrupted hard drive partition. Although accidents do happen, but a corrupt hard drive partition is definitely unavoidable. These are the typical recovery and usually runs somewhere between $100-200 with a 2-3 day turn around time; which is also consider a basic tier 1 service.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Stop using the fail drive to prevent further un-necessary introduced damages. This usually will result in making more damages to the failed media and making future recovery attempt impossible or making the data un-recoverable. If your drive is still recognizable, a typical computer store or service likely will be able to get your data. This likely a tier 1 service and should run no more than $100/$200 for the service.
