My review is for Jessie. She has been an incredible trainer to work out with. She's knowledagble, dedicated and truly cares about the health, wellness and fitness of her clients. She also has the unique ability to train people with limited resources (e.g. my gym doesn't have all the equipment a full gym would have). Additionally, her flexibility makes it really easy to work out with her, given my constantly changing schedule. Overall, Jessie has been a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her!

There are a multitude of reasons why I enjoy having Isaak as a personal trainer: from his knowledge of health and nutrition, his ability to understand my own body better than I ever could, his professionalism as it pertains to our workout interactions, and his honest approach needed in succeeding in my goals; however, the greatest reason why I vouch for the guy is that he is truly invested in the success of his clients and their respective goals. He won’t B.S. you and he will tell you exactly what is needed to achieve your goals. He won’t sugar-coat or tell you that you’re doing a good job during your workouts and nutrition if you really aren’t and that’s what you need in a personal trainer: not a pat on the back but the brutal honest truth as it relates to your progression. Only then can you achieve success. He Does That. He will help you reach your goals and results with his attitude, approach, and knowledge as long as you are willing to invest the time and energy physically and emotionally in the gym and at home. I am speaking from personal experience.

This is a review for Kendahl Richmond, a personal trainer whom I have had the pleasure of working with. After doing research, the top 5 things a person looks for in a personal trainer are: Honesty, Creativity, Balance, Attention to Detail, and Attitude. Coach Richmond inhabits all 5 of these in a manor that is incomparable. Honesty. Honesty is very important to me. If I am choosing to allow someone to tell me what to do and be an active roll in my life, they need to be honest. Without honesty there will not be trust. I need to be able to trust those in my life. I trust Coach. His honestly is refreshing. He is not afraid to not only point out the areas he sees you need work on, but also compliment areas in which you are successful. He’ll tell me straight up, “Your body fat percentage is high and you need to bring it down otherwise you could have other health problems.” He will also bluntly say, “Those pants look good on you Falicia.” If you only receive negative input, you will find yourself feeling down, feeling attacked. He tells you what you need to work on, and compliments your “assets”. He does this in a creative way. Creativity. Not only is Coach Richmond creative in his honesty, but also in his workouts. Most of his workouts are modified, or even created from scratch just for you. He takes your strengths and your weaknesses to create a workout that can best get you to your goal. He develops workouts that push me, but also cater to my injuries. Believe me, I have a lot of them. Balance. Balance is when Coach Richmond pushes me to my limits, yet knows when to pull back. One of his favorite sayings is, “You might hate me during session, but you’ll love me after.” This is true. When he is pushing me to my limits and forcing me to “shut my mouth” because it’s hard for me to breath, I begin to dislike him. I even think, “Shut up, you’re annoying.” Once session is over I feel better about myself, and just better over all. There have been days where I find myself so sore that I can barely move. Today, it hurts to sit up due me beginning to create abs of steel. Attention to detail. Coach Richmond isn’t like some trainers I’ve seen. His eyes aren’t wondering the room. He gives you his attention. From time to time he will desire to catch a glimpse of you for his snap chat, but that is because he is proud of his clients and their hard work and wants to share with the world. He notices everything. He notices even the smallest incorrect forms. Today he caught me resting my elbow on my knee and said, “Take your elbow off your knee.” Very forward and exactly what I need. He tailors his communication and how he addresses the detail he sees to fit each individual. Coach Richmond’s attitude is raw, and real. He is always optimistic. Though he is not always 100 percent due to being human, but he is constantly looking for the positive aspects of every situation. The best part about his attitude is that he is firm when he needs to be and playful when you need it. In conclusion, Coach Richmond is now a part of my life and will continue to be a part of my life. I’ve been his client off and on since November 2016. Though I’ve been up and down on my journey, he has been understanding and willing to work with me with flexibility. He honors my schedule and I honor his, which allows for a mutual respect and success. He gives me what I need as a trainer and I’m positive he will for you too. He will not disappoint.

I have been training with Michaela now for about a year and a half at Custom Health and Fitness in Napa. We are focusing on core and upper body strength. Michaela is fun yet firm to have as a personal trainer. She actively listens to me, encourages me and will push me when I need it. I have visual results in my muscle definition, increased strength in my arms and proven core improvements resulting in greater activity from my bi-weekly sessions with Michaela. She is knowledgeable with nutrition and has encouraged me to keep the nutritional aspect of my health in the for front of my mind. "One can not out train bad nutrition etc..."

Since my business requires long hours and quite a bit of office work my health was really starting to go down hill. So in march 2017 I signed up for a fitness / nutrition package with Angela. This turned out to be the best investment of my life. I found her to be genuinely enthusiastic and supportive of my fitness goals. Without that encouragement and motivation I would have found an excuse to not stick with it, especially after a long day at the office. The workouts she designs have so much variety they are never boring. Her private gym equipment is clean, cutting edge and top notch. I like the privacy element verses all the typical distractions at a public gym. I am so happy with my results! In the first 90 days I lost 21 pounds and feel basically like a different person. The improvement in energy and sense of well being has been dramatic. She has got me over my procrastination and old excuses of not having the "energy" or "time" to work out and brought my fitness goals to a reality."

    Max is fantastic! He's exactly what I need in a coach. He created a custom work out plan that's tailored to my crazy work schedule and given me tools to eat healthy even when I'm traveling. Following his plan has helped me lose weight and gain muscle. I'm stronger now than I've ever been. My favorite thing about Max is that he coaches people at various levels of fitness, which means he has the knowledge and experience to help me achieve whatever goals I set for myself. I highly recommend him!

      You can go to a regular trainer that is just like every other trainer on the planet, or you can go to Bryan. He knows his business inside and out. Weather your goal is weight loss, health, fitness, or mobility Bryan has you covered with the proper exercises, diets, and mindset to succeed. Don't go with the everyday "pick up a dumbbell" trainers and change your appearance, go with Bryan and change your lifestyle.

      Lynell and I have worked together for the past six months (and counting)! I have worked with other health coaches before and even professionally edited a holistic health coach book, but these coaches' knowledge pales in comparison to Lynell's knowledge and expertise. Lynell is very supportive and is very knowledgeable about health and fitness. However, she goes beyond just your average health coach that's out there. Her coaching comes from a psychological approach, including whole body wellness and stress management techniques, and the word "diet" (as in the starve yourself dieting to lose weight) does not exist when she works with you. She helps you create healthy habits from a goal-setting perspective that are both realistic and produce amazing results. As a result of working with Lynell, not only have I lost almost 20 pounds but I have more energy and feel more focused and organized in my life, especially with my career path. I'm a freelance copywriter who works from home and Lynell has really helped me to really hone into my career goals as well as my personal health and wellness goals. Lynell also has a background working with diabetic clients and is very knowledgeable about diabetes and how to be heart-healthy. She is dedicated to helping her clients prevent heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. She has helped me focus on my sodium intake. In the past, I had issues with on-off again high blood pressure and with Lynell's help and assistance, I've been able to keep my numbers at a healthy range. There is a lot of confusion out there about nutrition and healthy eating and there is a LOT of misinformation on the internet. Lynell's approach is realistic and works in "real life." She doesn't set you up to fail and she's there every step of the way with you. Lynell concentrates on the basics of nutrition so you don't feel overwhelmed. She walks you step-by-step through the goal-setting process and encourages and supports you during each coaching session which gives me confidence and feels like I'm not alone in my health and wellness journey. I'm 44 years old and am dealing with perimenopausal symptoms. Lynell is very empathetic and has shared invaluable tips and information about the types of foods and nutrition I should focus on for healthy balanced hormones. As a woman, I feel like she really "gets" what I'm going through and really listens. I highly recommend working with Lynell. If you feel like you are spinning out of control and don't know how to get your health back on track or want to exercise but don't know where to start, definitely hire Lynell for her coaching sessions. She's an amazing coach and is a very positive and uplifting person who always see the bright side in every situation!

        I have been using Jessica for all my health/ nutrition needs for years and swear by her! When I first met her I was just over 200 pounds and feeling terrible about myself. I reached out for help and I found it here. I was able to lose weight in a natural healthy way. No crazy diets or weight loss fads. I was able to learn what to eat based on my body and not anyone else's. Because of this I was able to lose 40 pounds in my own time and my own way. Jessica helped me in so many ways by coming to my home and cooking the food with me and even offering to take walks and/ or runs with me to keep me motivated. I will never trust anyone else in regards to my nutritional needs!

          Jeff seemed very knowledgeable in the fitness industry, however didn't seem as fast-paced as my husband and I are looking for.           How much does a nutritionist cost?

          A nutritionist provides expertise and guidance to help clients with all diet-related health matters, including losing weight, gaining muscle, improving their sports performance, and managing diabetes or high cholesterol. Nutritionists can help people learn to follow special diets in a healthy way, such as becoming vegetarian or vegan or developing a low-sodium or gluten-free eating plan. The average national cost of a nutritionist is $60 to $100. Nutritionists often require an initial consultation with a new client, during which they’ll take a medical history, assess the client’s nutritional needs, and determine the best course of action; this first meeting usually averages $100-$120 for a 45-minute to 90-minute consultation.           Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

          Nutrition counseling can be a critical component of good health care, especially for people recently diagnosed with diabetes or high cholesterol who need to adhere to a specific diet. People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.

          What is a holistic wellness coach?

          When you want to reach new heights with your health and wellness, consider hiring a holistic wellness coach. Much like a health coach, a holistic wellness coach is focused on your well-being and meets with you in one-on-one sessions to help you identify and reach your targeted goals. A holistic wellness coach will typically have you take all components of your life into account when working to achieve your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, a holistic wellness coach will not only offer recommendations for your diet and exercise, but also discuss your emotional health, your work/life balance, your spiritual side, and each area of your life that affects your ability to follow a nutrition and fitness plan.

          Although they are highly motivational and often can help clients achieve great results, holistic wellness coaches are not professional health care providers or registered dietitians.
