- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our firm works on an hourly fee basis at the rate of $ 300.00 per hour. Simple wills, trusts, advance health care directives, and powers of attorney are provided at a fixed rate agreed to prior to engagement with the client. We do not charge for an initial consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? When we meet a client for an initial consultation, we like to discuss the issues at hand to get an understanding of the client's issues and desired outcome of our representation. Once we understand the issues and desired outcome, we discuss the fee arrangement and potential strategies to follow to achieve the client's goals and objectives. Once a fee structure and strategy is agreed, the client will be provided with a Retainer Agreement for signature. The Retainer Agreement spells out how we are going to represent the client, the fee agreement, and the retainer to be paid. Once the client signs the Agreement and returns it to our office with the retainer payment, we go to work!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My particular education in architecture and engineering, and being a licensed architect as well as a licensed attorney, gives me an edge over our opponents when it comes to real estate, construction, and related matters. Having been a business owner for 35 years is important to my understanding of business law, business formation, contract law, and related matters.
