My children (11 and 9) have been taking piano lessons at Coastal Music Studios for 15 months now. It's been a great learning adventure since: my daughter unlike my son started at an entry level and is now able to play a great selection of good classicals. Andy and Pam are a great team with awesome management skills. While Andy teaches guitar and more, he's mainly the admin person who always goes above and beyond to accommodation his clients. Pam's pedagogical skills are impressive. She teaches piano, singing, directs the Children's Choir (which is free!), conducts .... with encouragement and patience. She's an accomplished musician and artist, perfect for our children! We highly recommend Coastal Music Studio for any music lesson!

I rented a violin and spent 2 months attempting to teach myself. I could not figure out how to make the instrument sound as beautiful as I knew it could. Mr. Tabar spent 6 minutes adjusting my rental violin, and by the end of my first (free!) lesson, we were playing a short duet. I can now practice without the frustration of the squeaky strings or concern that I am offending anyone's ear. I am 30, and even though I recently started college, I was more nervous about calling for violin lessons than going back to school. Mr. Tabar made me feel very comfortable and I have a great deal more confidence in learning this instrument than I ever thought I would. I look forward to my upcoming lessons, and I can't wait to play more intricate music.

The slow progression at school was the reason why I decided to put may daughter up with a private teacher, whom Linda seems to be the right fit. My daughter was never corrected for her fingering while playing the cello at school, until Linda did so. It took my daughter 6 months just to play 1 piece of music at school, let alone reading the music sheet for the cello comfortably. And she was the only cello student at school too! Linda is not only very knowledgeable musically, but also very talented as she plays many different instruments. Overall, very productive 1st class with Linda.

As a professional musician (guitar and vocals) that does not read music, I have had a few lessons with this guy to help with my reading of music, theory, and soloing. He presents everything to me in a very understandable manner and exudes the utmost patience in getting me to the next level. I have never had music lessons before so this seemed daunting at first but now I have broken through long standing plateaus and I am reinvigorated to push myself to the next level. I will definitely be continuing this approach with Mr violin in the future.

Brian was very patience and extremely helpful with setting us up with a piano teacher. We just finished our first lesson with our kids and Naomi is great! She seems very knowledgeable with piano. My kids were able to warm up to her quickly and that's not easy process. We will definitely be continuing our lessons!

My son started taking piano lessons from Kelly a year and half ago. Since then, he has blossomed. We'd tried a franchise center before discovering Kelly but quickly discovered that a minimum of piano playing is actually done there. At 7, he needed the basics first and she made it so easy and fun for him. Now 9, he took and passed the ABRSMs at Cal State LA last fall, becoming one of the youngest to do so out of 600 students. Recitals are offered twice a year, allowing kids to present their work to an audience. The kids enjoy playing, thanks to her patience, passion and persistence. We highly recommend Kelly Pedroza and Elite Musique.

Felix has been teaching my son now for 6 months and "wow" what a difference. My son is now included in the orchestra section that performs at the theatre plays. ( only expeienced and well taught students get this opportunity. Felix has not only given my son the proper instruction on how to play a cello, but he had to re teach him some previously taught (incorrectly taught) finger positions . That was not a easy task because my son has autism. Felix is a professional and patient and I do recommned him highly. Check him out on u tube , amazing!!! Signed, 1 proud Mom

Amazing Viola teacher, best I ever had. He has a clear cut teaching style, focusing a lot on technique. He goes beyond the sheet music and is very knowledgable about performance psychology. He's an active performer and is able to share his insight into the industry. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone.

I have been playing guitar for over 20 years, so I was looking for a teacher that could build onto what I already knew. Alan was able to show me new techniques and teach me about jazz guitar. Thanks Alan!!

How hard is it to learn to play the cello?

Taking cello lessons can be a rewarding experience for students young and old.
