Melissa officiated our wedding in Glen Ellen and did a fantastic job. She was so responsive throughout the process and made sure to connect with us prior to the ceremony to confirm our name pronunciation. I’m a wedding planner in Redding, CA. My wedding couple hired me and we had 3 months to plan the perfect wedding in Sonoma, CA. But we needed an officiant! I stumbled upon Thumbtack and found Melissa, and I’m so thankful I did. Not only did she respond quickly, but her and the bride grew such a bond, the bride would not stop praising Melissa! She was so happy that she felt heard, understood, and at ease about how the ceremony would go. (And she was very nervous about it). Melissa also worked with us when we had to postpone the wedding last minute and move the wedding out another 4 weeks. I can’t thank her enough for being so sweet, professional, and easy to work with. She’s the best!

She was on time, even found a great spot for our reception at the venue prior to our wedding day, and went over and above to make sure every aspect of our ceremony was memorable and I would even say perfect. I can’t even express how pleased I am with every aspect of Melissa’s Officiant service! Melissa Greene is the absolute best person to work with for your wedding. Through all of the craziness of the COVID-19 Pandemic, she offered my husband and I so much support and always asked if there was anything that she could do to help as we continued to prepare for our wedding. She far surpassed my expectations in every way, delivering a perfectly customized ceremony and executing it flawlessly! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The weddings that I officiate usually range anywhere from $300-$750 because of the care and attention I take to create "just the right" ceremony for you. That said, I have some flexibility in pricing and won't quibble over a few dollars where love is concerned! I am happy to travel out of Santa Rosa, as available, for an additional fee for time and gas.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ask questions to understand who the couple "is", what they like to do, what makes their love unique and fun. Together, we partner to create a ceremony that really honors and reflects their love. I am always happy to help in any way I can to make the day magical. This includes setting a plan for completing and submitting the final paperwork, connecting them with a wonderful photographer, videographer, venue…really anything they need.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 20+ years of experience in consulting, public speaking, and training. I am easily able to connect with folks and speak in an engaging and authentic manner in front of groups of every size. Every ceremony that I officiate is followed by many compliments on the service.
