WizKid Tutoring: Math/Physics/Computers/Test Prep
About this pro
My son was having a terrible time with geometry. Daniel worked with him and taught him in a way that he understood. My son brought home a B (Which I was thrilled with because he had been failing the class beforehand). He is wonderful!! I recommend him highly!!!Aug 2, 2018Verified
Daniel was an incredible tutor for Calculus Part 1, for a college course. I received his help a little late in the game but he did not shy away from the challenge. He gave me advice, showed me how to do problems the proper way and even gave me tips on some short cuts. I would highly recommend him as a math tutor because he is easy to understand, easy to talk to and makes you feel more knowledgaJul 18, 2018Verified
Excellent tutor! Daniel tutored my 13 year old son in Physics. My son went from being completely lost to getting an A in the class. Very professional, explains topics clearly, connects well with student. My son loved the Skype/online white board method of teaching. No need to go anywhere or sit in traffic. Daniel was flexible with setting up lessons and even made time when urgently needed, like before a test. My son had a great experience and can't wait to learn with Daniel again when he gets to HS physics.Jun 19, 2018Verified
Daniel was a great help to Skylar in math analysis and really helped her build her skill and confidence.Jun 16, 2018Verified
He has a great way of not just having kids understand math but retain the information for tests. He helped our son go from failing to fully passing his math class. Deffinly recommend Daniel and we using through summer to get ahead.Jun 15, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? The price quoted is a bundle rate. This means an agreed upon number of hours is paid for upfront and hours are used up as lessons are provided. You need not pay this before the first lesson. Typically, customers like to try out the first lesson and decide from then if the bundle is right for them. The pay-as-you-go rate is higher than the bundle rate and depends on the details of the customer request. • Minimum lesson time is typically 1 hour but may be longer depending on commute distances. • A travel fee may be requested for commuting expenses. • I accept PayPal, Venmo, Check, Cash, or Credit Card (3% fee) • Cancellation Policy: At least 24 hours notice or charged for full lesson. • Purchases for bundle(s) or pay-as-you-go tutoring are non-refundable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First I seek to understand the student's goals and level of understanding in a subject. Together, we can schedule lessons to achieve those goals in line with the student's timeline. Preparation of material is usually helpful before lessons if topic mastery is not yet met.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I hold an engineering degree from UCLA and with 10 years of tutoring experience, I have encountered countless scenarios that I can draw from to help with your unique challenges.
