Introduction: I'm currently a signed artist on Sony Music (Provident Label Group) for Red Rocks Worship. I'm a songwriter, producer and mixing engineer on the side. I think the most important aspect to creating great music, is passion. You need to have buy in from everyone involved (including your recording engineer) for it to all come together. I've worked with a handful of recording engineers over my 24 years as a musician. Jake is up there in the top echelon, no question. His ability to bring to life what you are thinking in your head is something that I view as one of his greatest attributes. Every musician has a specific idea of what they want when it comes to their "sound". Jake seems to have the ability to take in your thoughts, hear what you're going for, and translate it to the final product. I've heard him do it so many times and it always impresses me. He's worked with some of the best writers and producers in the business from Nashville to LA and I believe they would echo this sentiment. Can't recommend Jake enough.

Jake has been our producer for the last 7 years and everything that he makes is done with such care and professionalism. He has an ear that catches things that at times our whole team misses. He is kind and funny. Great guy to work with. An incredible producer and musician to boot! Definitely my top guy to go to for any project!

I've worked with Jake on multiple levels over the last 15 years, and every time I hear his latest project, I'm blown away by the quality and the creativity. Jake has such an eye for detail and excellence, and works on things until they’re absolutely perfect (or as close as perfect can be! He’s been a teammate of mine for 4 years now and is super encouraging and kind-hearted. He’s also a very quick troubleshooter. If something wrong he can quickly figure out what it is and solve it.

Jake is easy to work with, extremely knowledgeable, and delivered the finished file within a day. After filming a testimony video, I realized the audio needed a significant amount of fine tuning. I emailed the file over and Jake was quick to respond with detailed questions in order to get it sounding exactly how I wanted. Because of his fast delivery, and experience, I was able to meet my deadline. I will definitely be using his services again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is pretty straightforward. I'll charge 45/hour, and that includes whatever service you're hiring me for, be it mixing, producing, editing, tuning etc.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will have a consultation (either in person or via phone) to discuss the scope of the project, and to discuss workflow. We will also discuss timelines, and expectations. From there we can begin booking studio time and getting the project rolling.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the University of Colorado, Denver with a bachelors degree in Music. Specifically focusing on the College of Arts and Media, which was a recording arts program, with a focus on music business.
