Amazing patience for kids of all levels. And gets results regardless of the math class and skill level. Really builds a foundation of skills that the kids will use in future classes as well.
I hired Mr. Edwards for tutoring in College Algebra. I have not started my class yet, but Mr. Edwards has already been helpful in meeting with me one night a week to get me ready for when I do start class in the Spring. He is very easy going which makes it really easy to talk to him and ask questions. I would recommend Mr. Edwards to anyone who was looking for a math tutor!
Grace has been awesome with ACT tutoring and helping me with study skills for my classes at Arapahoe High School. She has been very flexible with my schedule which changes all the time. The study space at Student Society is legit!
Dr. Heger was a wonderful mentor and tutor for my son. She helped him learn the fundamentals for his French class and dramatically improve his grade. She made learning fun and he improved his pronunciation and conversational skills so he was eager to participate in class.
Marc is an amazing tutor. I hired Marc to tutor my learning disabled daughter to prepare for an entrance exam at a local technical college in Denver. My daughter struggles both socially and academically. Marc was able to bridge both gaps for a very successful experience. Marc was always punctual and reliable and has the creativity and flexibility to work well in a very challenging situation. I give Marc two thumbs up and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent tutorial experience.
Noel has tutored me in physics and in calculus. In both classes I struggled the first semester until I found Noel. He was able to teach me the things I didn't understand and also helped me with my test anxiety. I had other tutors before Noel and Noel has been the best out of them all. His experience in math and science shows through when he tutors me. I highly recommend Noel as a tutor.
I hired Carissa to do my taxes and she did an outstanding job! I got a great refund and she had everything done and filed very promptly. I will definitely be using her services again next year.

I have been a professional tutor for the last 2 years and have helped students achieve their goals in all levels of math, reading, and writing. From teaching 4th-6th grades to serving as a senior outdoor education instructor, I have held many roles in education. I currently hold a professional license to teach in the state of Colorado and am a certified Calming Kids Yoga instructor. I also helped revamp the curriculum for the National Youth Leadership Training Institute with the Boy Scouts of America. I have experience with Everyday Math, Singapore Math, Every Child a Reader, DIBBELS, Readers and Writers Workshop, and other elementary programs. Clients can expect my tutoring sessions to be targeted to the individual needs of my students. We will use a variety of mediums to meet the needs of the student. I believe that communication is critical between teachers, tutors, and families to help maximize our time together. I typically meet families in their home for 1-2 times per week. Having a professional teaching license, I am quite familiar with the goals and objectives of an elementary curriculum and seek to connect students in engaging ways with the material. I believe that hands-on education helps provide opportunities for all students to critically analyze our world. One such example of capitalizing on little loved resources came when I tutored a lesson on the rock cycle to a small group of students. Out of the box, I deliberately selected the worn down, wrapper-less, seemingly uninspiring crayons that most students would throw away in an effort to be creative. These brave little volunteers would serve as my test subjects. Slowly, I cut the crayon bits into small chunks. One could feel the excitement in my room! After taking turns pounding on the tin foil to represent pressures within the Earth, we exposed the crayons to heat via a dumpster dived candle and reused piece of tin foil leftover from our mystery meat camp dinner. My students synthesized their own theories before we compared what actual Stem scientists had concluded. And, best of all, this lesson used recycled materials!
