FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I absolutely believe that continuing to grow professionally is important. I regularly continue my education through image consultant and personal development trainings. I am always on the look out for seminars and expert sources as well as opportunities to refine my coaching skills.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always loved teaching and have always loved fashion. After retiring from teaching high school, I decided to be my own boss and build my skin care consulting business. Since I have always loved combing through pieces at various boutiques to see what new outfits I could put together, becoming a style expert was a natural extension of this work. I also know that true confidence comes from within, and helping people build that confidence in a way that can impact their personal success is something I have always been passionate about as well.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I start with a consultation to determine needs. Then I often will help a client examine his or her closet/current wardrobe. We can de-clutter the closet together to see what should stay, based on professional/personal clothing needs, what's still current style, what still fits, etc. I also help clients put together different outfits using their current options, leave them with photos of what they created, and then suggest any additional pieces to complete their needs. I can either shop for them or with them in stores that fit their budgets. I also consult with clients on skin care and color cosmetics, and provide ongoing service as needed. I work with clients to improve communication and presentation skills as well, which can be great for those interviewing for new careers or promotions.
