I had a light switch that wasn't working. Carefree responded very quickly, came out the next day and fixed for a decent price. They were professional and easy to work with to complete the job.
I had Michael and his associate install some track lighting, caulk the shower, fix a light, install a new door, fix broken shutters, and do some painting. All were completed very professionally. They do a great job. Would recommend and hire again.
We needed several light switches moved to different walls and also needed under-cabinet lights installed in the kitchen. Ryan came on time, did the work quickly and efficiently and left the work areas clean and tidy. Great job! Very pleased -- will definitely call again when we need more electrical work done.
Chris did a fantastic job on the projects in my home. I originally hired him to mount my TV and hide all wires, etc. Then I asked (prior to his visit) if he could swap out some light fixtures while here. He did all of these projects with expertise and care for my home. His fee is very fair and I feel he provided full value for the work done. I'd hire him again in a minute. Highly recommend!
I asked Brian to handle an unusual request - to wire up a huge commercial projector screen with very limited instructions. He showed up right on time, explained the options to me , and had some good ideas about how to run the wires in a way that looked nicest. It works/looks great. He also altered some existing wiring to make a few outlets switch the way I wanted them to. He's a nice guy and seems to really know what he's doing. Highly recommend. Good price, too - less than half of what someone else quoted!
Couldn't say enough good things about Simpson Home Services. My situation was that I had a water heater go out at a rental property. The pilot light wouldn't stay lit and after one of the bigger named company charged me $300 for parts in their attempt to fix, that company on their 3rd visit decided I needed to replace the water heater, where they conveniently had one in their truck outside ready to go, for the sweet price of $2400. After shopping the actual units at Home Depot / Lowes, I quickly saw that $2400 for a new Water Heater is legitimate robbery. Enter Charlie from Simpson Home Services. His price was fair (got about 6 Bids from Thumbtack) and he was very responsive. Here is where it gets better. Some might think Im crazy, or to trust worthy, but, with my current day job I was unable to get to Home Depot to purchase the water heater. Therefore my only option was to have Charlie from Simpson Home Services go to Home Depot, pull the unit and have Home Depot ring me and use my Home Depot Card and Social Number as a form of payment. At that point, it could have been real daylight Robbery. I had (and still haven't), ever met Charlie in person. My only communication had (still has!) been over phone, but he had great reviews on thumbtack already so I knew we would be ok. Once he completed the job, I paid him over the phone using my debit card. Sure enough, writing this today some weeks after Charlie did his work. My New Water heater is working perfectly and I couldn't say enough good things about Charlie from Simpson Home Services. His work is legit, he gets 10 Stars for Trustworthiness and honesty and I would definitely without a doubt hire him again. ***For anyone installing a water heater and questioning the whole permit situation. I did a lot of research and there seems to be mixed ideas about wether you have to pull a permit or don't have to. I have even been out looking at purchasing a new house here in Denver over the last few weeks and I asked my realtor about permits on replacement water heaters and even she had mixed ideas. So then I went to that iPhone / Android Neighborhood App that everyone is on and planted my question there, also mixed reviews about pulling permits. I think the general concensios is do it if you really want to. If your reselling your house, the buyer might ask to see a permit, but in todays market (sellers market still in 2018), it might not be questioned at that stage. Point being, my research showed 50/50 on who would and who wouldn't. Either way you go, you can still use Charlie and Simpson Home Services as I did. He completes the work, you then apply for the permit, they come inspect it and then your done. I wanted to share this as this is the route I took. I also trust Charlie and Simpson Home Services enough that if the inspector had found a problem, that Charlie would have made a Trip back to fix it for free*** Thanks again Charlie (still haven't met you!) And thank you Thumbtack for yet another sweet hookup to a quality Tradesman.
the people who came to the house were extremely friendly and professional. they went above and beyond what we had asked them to do, even installing a dimmer light switch for us at no additional charge. would highly recommend this group of professionals.
Jerry installed some new recessed lights for me. He was fast and efficient.
Installation of 2 outlets; troubleshooting/fixing light switch. Very knowledgeable, respectful, quick, and clean. Would reccommend to others as well as call on again with future electrical needs.
Call Daniel to get some help on my house remodel that I couldn't handle by myself. He came by the house the very next day and said he could do the work no problem and have his guys ready to work on my house in a couple of days. I gave Daniel the green light and he had pretty much the whole first floor torn out by the end of the first day and stayed working on my project until their work was done. I just talked to him again about doing some more work that is coming up a little later. Daniel is very easy to work with and is very flexible to problems and changes as they come up. When I had a problem, Daniel was quick to correct the issue. Can't really ask for much more than that.
I was dumb enough not to know which switch controlled a line that wasn't working and he identified it within minutes and turned it back on.
I had Mark replace over a dozen light switches, outlets, and face plates. He did a great job at fair price and I would highly recommend him if you're looking fast repairs and good service.
Bob Dunham did a great job installing 2 fans and replaced both switch plates as well. He even replaced a CO2/smoke alarm that required a huge ladder (which he brought) to reach it at 18 feet high. The original alarm was defective so Bob found an alarm with a 10 year sealed lithium battery and installed it. Very personable. We would definitely use him again!
Matt was great to work with and I'll be using him in the future for any additional Handyman projects! He guaranteed his work if I had any trouble in the future as well.
Dave was quick (arrived early) and efficient on the job. He talked me through the problem and solution and fixed our electrical issue quickly. Will use him in the future for sure.
Fantastic job, I would highly recommend using Big red Innovations. The owner is very friendly and does high quality work.
Jorge was quick to respond and could accommodate my challenging schedule. When he arrived he quickly assessed the location of the light and replaced it. The whole process was less than 30 mins. His price was also reasonable.
Joe did a great job for a very reasonable price so we've also hired him to install recessed lighting in our kitchen. I would highly recommend him.
I needed some electrical wiring work in my basement to convert a blank wall into one that was ready to hang two sconce lights. Brien was very responsive and flexible in work and got the job started/fished quickly. He was honest and easy to work with. I will definitely hire him for other electrical related needs.
Chris installed two ceiling light fixtures and figured out a wiring/switch issue I was having. One of the best experiences I've had on Thumbtack. He is knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I will use him for all my electrical work in the future for our home.
Antonio is a very preffessional and detailed Electrition. He does quaility work at a very resonalble priced. I initially hired him to install 10 can lights and ended up contracting him to wire my entire garage and add additional outlets.
