Liz helped me with a logo design for a new business startup. At first, I was a little wary of using someone all the way across the country (I'm in Georgia, and she is in Colorado), but after our initial consultation, I was instantly at ease. Liz's professionalism was impeccable throughout the process. Her first response to my Thumbtack ad included everything I needed to evaluate her business (quote with breakdown, links to her website and samples of her work). After our consultation, she delivered her first round of designs exactly when she promised, and, after viewing them, I knew that she had really LISTENED to me! All the first designs were good, but one in particular really encompassed everything I was looking for. After just a few days of tweaking, we arrived at a design that conveys all the elements of my business. Throughout the process, Liz was prompt in her revisions and easy to work with, and the final design is creative, unique, and most of all, has personality...everything I wanted in a brand. I would highly recommend Liz to anyone looking for a talented professional to create a logo for his or her business!

Fernando designed a logo for our landscaping business, and we couldn't be happier with the result! He has a quick turnaround time, does excellent work, and is very reasonably priced. We were so impressed with the logo that we are also going to use Fernando for our website design. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for graphic design work of any kind!

Landon helped us design our company logo, business cards and the sign in front of our business 9 years ago. We still use his artwork to this day, and it has helped us create brand recognition for the products we offer. His simple clean design helps our customers recognize our equipment from far away.

As President of the Denver Theatrical Stage, Film and Exhibition Employees, IATSE Local 7, contact was made to Kristine to aid us in the development of a new logo that would help us better speak to our local's past, the present and future. Our labor local was organized on December 3, 1891 and has been active in our industries since that time; highly active with a skilled work force that continues to establish our place and presence in the industries in which we serve, in the political arena and in the communities in which we all live and work. To say that Kristine caught the vision is somewhat like saying Attile the Hun was a troublemaker - except in a most positive, productive, creative and energetic manner. She took us far beyond what we had as an original concept - manipulated, refined, drew, redrew, redrew yet again to make sure that we were more than satisfied. Were we and are we? Well, next we turned Kristine loose on our business cards. I mean turned this most creative and energetic person loose. With her at the printers location looking at sample after sample, Kristine looking at the arrangement, the colors, the fonts, the type, etc., etc., etc. When I was ready to say "That looks good," Kristine's response was, "Not yet." Her final approval brought to us the most elegant, clear, simple and strongly stated information on a business card that I have ever had the privilege to display. As a past Senior Vice-President and COO of a 1,000 person organization in Southern California, as a past Project Manager for the City and County of Denver, as a past independent scenic artist for both stage and film work, I had come to know just a bit about business cards. When I tell you these most recent cards are wonderful, go back to comparing Attila to a trouble maker - only in a positive measure. And so we turned to creating a new parade banner with the new logo. Our previous parade banner was simply worn out. Beautiful, but worn out. Our banner is not quite done - but wait until you see it. Wowser!! The same is true for the new logo that will be displayed in the front window of our union office. Believe me, you will immediately know who we are and what we are about - past, present and future. Do I recomend Kristine for any measure of graphic design and implementation? Do I love the work in which I have been professionally engaged for the past 40 plus years? Do I love my wife, my children, my grandchildren? Not sure of the answer? Okay then, do I love my Harley-Davidson? So, there you go.... You do not hire Kristine for work; rather, Kristine captures you, your intent, your messages, your organization, the spirit of your work, the products you provide, and comes to display all of that in a series of presentations from which you wil have difficulty in choosing; guaranteed. Then in the making of choice, Kristine will guide you not to what she thinks is best, but what it is you finall rest upon as that which best expresses you, your intent, your messages, your organization, the spirit of your work, the products you provide; guaranteed. Kristine is a delightful person with whom to work, that she is highly organized, most timely in her responses (try next day), seems to care little about what she thinks and is so highly focued on what you think and what you want. Customer-focused, customer-oriented, customer-driven, customer, customer, customer - that is Kristine Kelly. Bringing Kristine on board to help you will be the best business decision you have made all year; guaranteed.

Lauren is excellent. She listened to our ideas and then provided some creative input, our logos turned out perfect. Not only did she provide us with one logo but she provided us with several options within the same branding concept. She also helped me think of things that I hadn't, like different size logos for different social media platforms. She's fantastic, I would highly recommend her.

Sharon designed the logo for my company, 7StoryProductions. The process was incredibly smooth! She listened to my thoughts and came up with a few options based on that initial conversation. We then talked through what worked with each and after a couple minor revisions ended up on what I've now been using for over two years. I get a lot of compliments on how great the logo looks. Sharon brings fresh and innovative ideas to the process and I do not hesitate referring others to her for their design and photography needs.

Most designers only give you your logo designed as is...in full color. I not only give you your full color logo, but your logo in black/white, greyscale, and reversed (so it will show up on light or dark backgrounds). I also give you all original artwork files in Illustrator, so you don't have to keep coming back to me and pay me to resize your logo for different types of marketing materials down the road. You have everything you need to take your logo to any printer and have it printed on anything!

About

I'm a highly skilled designer. I'm an expert in logo design, vector graphics, print media and rasterized graphics.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What makes a good logo design?

A good logo is an easily identifiable, memorable image that represents your brand. A good logo design aligns with your business model and expresses your company’s core values. A good logo design is simple, appealing, and easy for customers and viewers to quickly process. Some of the key components of a great logo are type, color palette and design. The scale, font and arrangement of the text you select will all make a difference in the feel and representation of your brand. A graphic designer will help you home in on the colors that best represent your identity and help you keep the color palette simple. The design of your logo includes the shapes you select and the way the color and type are arranged together. Investing in the services of a professional to create your logo design is likely a smart investment for any size business. Nationally, the average price range for a logo designer ranges from $170 to $250.

How much does it cost to create a logo?

Logo design is an important part of your company’s brand development. More than an image with text and color, a logo communicates the tone and personality of your company to your potential customers. Hiring a graphic designer with an appealing portfolio and quality reviews is a solid start to creating a winning logo design. The cost to create a logo can depend on how in-depth the marketing and design services you request are. Designers can create one logo in multiple formats (horizontal, vertical, etc.) to fit both your website and social media platforms, they can create a variety of designs for clients to select from, or they can create multiple logos for one client who needs branding for more than one venture. Logos may be text-only, text and image, or image-only. Many designers and design firms charge by the hour for their services, while other companies offer packages bundled with design services. Here are some examples of cost:

  • National average cost to hire a logo designer: $170-$250.
  • Average hourly rate for a freelance marketing consultant: about $150.
  • Tiered pricing for logo design packages from one firm:
    • Package One: $200 for three logo concepts, three rounds of revision, and a variety of format and color end designs.
    • Package Two: $350 for 10 logo concepts, unlimited rounds of revision, and a variety of format and color end designs.
    • Package Three: $550 for everything included in the Package Two, plus business card design, letterhead design, social media graphics and an email signature.
    • Package Four: $850 for everything in the Package Three, plus custom brand guidelines, which outline a strategy for creating a consistent branding in the client’s business.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
