FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Know what you want for your group from this speaker. To be most effective, efficient, and comfortable in your search (and even have a little more fun), gather a few basic pieces of info before you start looking for a speaker: Know your audience. Make sure you know what management wants for this presentation. What is your group struggling with right now? Have they just been through a major change? Are you looking for a highly technical speaker, or a bigger picture view to educate your group? Will it be a mix of staff and supervisors, or only one of those groups? Audience size, make-up, gender, cultural concerns, tenure of group? Do they know each other well or are they stranger to each other? How much time do you want for them to take? Is it a tight timeline or do you have some give and take in the timing of your event? Is this a keynote or an interactive breakout? Is it the event OR the kickoff OR the closing to your event? Is the speaker willing to customize to work with your group or do they have cut and dried presentations?
