Alex is the best tutor I have ever had. He throughly explained material and helped me to understand better. Would recommended to anyone who is looking for a tutor.
Best tutors around.
Francoise is a very enthusiastic, lively, animated and seemingly dedicated professional. I haven't started classes yet, but I'm sure she will continue to exhibit the same qualities throughout!
Nicole is a highly skilled tutor. She instinctively knows how best to support a student and guides her teaching content according to what will best strengthen a student's weaknesses in order to achieve the best outcomes. Additionally, she is very adept at sensing how best to engage with her students. Our family has experienced great success as a result of her tutoring. She has become not only a valued mentor to my daughter but also a great friend to our family. I highly recommend Nicole.
Excellent tutor for daughter's SAT math prep. Signing on for more sessions.
Minnie was very responsive and helped us get the best tutor within the time constraints we presented to her. We are very happy with the service Peak Performance provided for SAT prep.
Patience with kids that may not catch on as quick, ability to work with the kids with learning disabilities and the variety of teaching methods David is able to apply on an individual basis
After struggling with math for years, I finally made the choice to seek the aid of a tutor. Luckily, that tutor happened to be Chris Webster. He is not only an effective, highly qualified teacher but also and extremely friendly and helpful individual. These qualities allow Chris to teach even the most complex topics in a manner that is both approachable and memorable. Chris Webster is an excellent tutor and I highly recommend him.
We love working with Moises! After just two weeks of tutoring, my daughter said "Now I understand the mistakes I have been making in math and I also understand how to do it right next time. I am starting to like math." Moises knows how to teach so that the information goes from short term memory to long term memory. We also have my son taking guitar lessons with Moises. He loves it so much he has requested lessons twice a week. We feel fortunate to have found someone who can work effectively with a student with ADD and that is an overall great teacher and kind person.
Marc is an amazing tutor. I hired Marc to tutor my learning disabled daughter to prepare for an entrance exam at a local technical college in Denver. My daughter struggles both socially and academically. Marc was able to bridge both gaps for a very successful experience. Marc was always punctual and reliable and has the creativity and flexibility to work well in a very challenging situation. I give Marc two thumbs up and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent tutorial experience.
If you're looking for a good math tutor who is going to be able to explain things in a very basic level two people who do not understand math then Dan is your guy! I do not understand math at all whatsoever but Dan was able to break things down for me so I was able to understand it better.
My daughter has difficulty with math. She'd cringe when she had an assignment due. After working with Grace for a short time, her anxiety level noticeably decreased. Grace gave her the confidence she needed to believe she could succeed in math. We've moved to Minnesota but retained Grace as a tutor via Skype.
I have had an excellent experience using thumbtack to find a Spanish tutor. My teacher is awesome! I really like her teaching style and her flexible schedule. She has been a great help to me!
We loved our experience with Omega's SAT and ACT Test Prep program. Our son's SAT score increased over 200 points and his ACT score improved 5 points over his most recent test result. They had him take an assessment and said he would do better on the SAT than the ACT. They were correct and he now has a better chance of getting in the school he hopes to attend. They were very flexible with his schedule and we love the tutors and staff.
Anne is a great French tutor - she takes the time to find out your interests, and tailors your lesson to your interests. She splits time in sessions between reading, writing/grammar, and speaking, in order to fully understand the language. She is patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Woody is kind first of all. Gentle and kind. His math knowledge is a given, but his ability to teach is a gift. He even laughed a few times which was great considering how "unfunny" Algebra is.
I am an engineer and project manager with over a decade of experience in the commercial and small business engineering needs. I can effectively communicate the demand for sciences and math. As a student, I learned that effectively learning that targets the individual's learning style along with reinforcing the need for education is a necessity for students to retain knowledge. I strive to cater a tutoring plan for each student that is effective for him or her.
I have more than a decade of experience tutoring students of all ages in a wide variety of subjects. Over the years, I have honed my science and math skills with my extensive educational background. Because I am widely traveled, multilingual and hold diverse degrees from several schools, I can help the student understand why and how STEM concepts are used in the world today. I am prompt, responsible and personally invested in the success of my students. My prices are competitive and my hours are flexible. Serving the students of: Longmont, Mead, Firestone, Frederick, Lyons, Berthoud, Erie and Niwot
I have extensive experience in teaching and tutoring from pre-algebra through college precalculus. My specialty is all levels of algebra. In-person and online sessions are available.
Bonjour, prospective francophiles! I am a French tutor, living in SW Portland and working as a student at Lewis & Clark College, where I will be a senior this fall (2013). I love teaching, especially French language, to help others learn a foreign language at any age. In addition to living and attending school in France, I have been the French Club president of my university for two years, giving me an experience in leading cultural/language activities in an academic environment. I would love to teach you, your children, or your friends French language a culture through tutoring! I have a very flexible schedule this summer, and I am open to suggestions on where to meet for tutoring sessions.
I think I'm different because I used to have the same situation with my customer. The solution I have will be easier to apply for my student. I will make my student think they can be excellent at math.
