Introduction: Hi there! I’m Melissa! I’m the Owner & Lead Photographer at Mia Photography. I’ve been in business officially 13 years & new to ‘thumbtack’ as of early 2022! Although I can’t really ever remember a time when I wasn’t snapping photos for family & friends. It’s been a lifelong love. I’m a local CO photographer with professional equipment & I’m a Mama to boot... & I’m reasonable! I’m used to wrangling in littl’s, teens, & even shy adults 😏~ in order to get you the best photos! I specialize in natural light portraiture, but can also shoot with flash when needed ~ & while I promise you’ll get that ‘posed over the mantle’ family shot.... my favorites are, more natural, editorial type shots. These allow me to capture you & your family as natural, relaxed & playful as possible. The result is not only gorgeous photos, but also memories to cherish always. Im also available for Elopements, weddings, corporate events, parties, real estate marketing, & commercial photography. Melissa is the absolute best! She captured every moment I wanted in my wedding. She was so creative in her shots and handled my 18 person wedding party beautifully! Our experience was nothing less than amazing! We were going on our family vacation from Nebraska to Breckinridge, and I decided how awesome it would be to get family pictures taken! We absolutely love the mountains so I was so happy we were able to get them taken. Melissa was quick to respond when I found her on thumbtak. The day of the photos Melissa made us feel as if we had known her for years! My family didn't once complain about having our photos taken which is not always the case . 🤪 Once we received our photos they were exactly how I was hoping they would turn out which was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Melissa is amazing!! She came to our home to do a photo shoot with our newborn baby. She was so respectful of our first-time-parent jitters and did a really beautiful job of making us feel comfortable. She was so easy to spend time with, which really helps (in my opinion) what could otherwise be kind of an awkward interaction. She had a calm, laid back attitude that allowed our family to shine and really be ourselves. Her work was absolutely gorgeous. We love all of our photos - the hardest part of the process was to figure out which ones we wanted to print and frame for our home!! I highly recommend Melissa for all of your family photography needs!
